Yes, you can consent to sex with anyone at 16 years old. That’s the same as in plenty of states actually. There are some protections still, like the 40 year old not having “authority” over them, like an employer. There’s also a corruption of minors section in PA, but it’s not really geared towards having consensual sex, more like aiding in the commission of crimes kinda thing.

If they are under 16, it’s illegal if the gap is 4 years or more older. They cannot consent at all if they’re under 13. These issues pop up in schools all the time. Parents will actually call to try and get an 18 year old in trouble after they break up with their 17 year old son or daughter….not how it works in PA with 16 age of consent and 4 year rule.

I'm just waiting until we get past the "how do you say 'are you 18 (16?) yet?' in 5 different languages" portion of the convo until we get back to normal bickering.

Opening day of OTAs featured Moore as LT1 and Kendrick Green as C2. Let's riot :sarcasm:

Broderick Jones is a bust!

I love OTA and training camp overreactions. I remember last year Mark Madden was going on about how Pickett was so bad that the Steelers didn’t even trust him to play a preseason game.

As some of us mentioned after the draft, Jones is a project and needs a lot of work on technique…it wouldnt surprise me if he’s not the starting LT to begin the season…

I think it’s more making Jones take the starting gig. They’re not just gonna hand it to him in OTA’s. I’m still betting on him being the day 1 starter. I just don’t think Moore is nearly as good.

Jones has a much higher upside but he has to put the work in…they’re not going to hand him the gig period

Pretty sure he'll be starting game on against the 49ers. Feel pretty confident in that. Unless he shows up uninspired or lazy that's what's going to take place.

Yep and I’m fine with that. But if Kendrick still makes this team after all the linemen they added would shock me

I’m not worried about the rayvens right now but if they added Deandre Hopkins I would be

Pretty sure he will not. They will let him redshirt if possible. Moore gave up 1 sack after the bye and they never rush rookies. He is going to be the swing OT to start with Moore and Chuks starting week 1

Green only makes it if he can fake it at C or they trade Dotson

Well Moore did give up I believe seven sacks, so yeah Jones is going to play. Got to protect the quarterback he's already had a couple concussions . Again unless Jones shows up uninspired and not ready to go. Which I don't Envision happening Click!

Seems like a solid backup OLB. Now you don’t have to rely on Herbig as your primary backup.

Good. I thought that #3 OLB spot was probably the biggest hole on the roster at the moment. Glad they were able to address it.

I still wouldn't mind a veteran ILB but seems like the ship has sailed with Kwon Alexander. Maybe they'll add someone else or maybe Kwon will eventually circle back if he gets desperate enough for work.

Trubisky may not be a great QB but he seems like a terrific leader.

I'd try to Charlie Batch Trubisky, if I were the Steelers. I think he is a great leader and I think he's the most talented QB we actually have. He has zero field vision, and I just do not see a starter there. I know it's hard to talk the competitor out of a guy, but he's with an organization that had the same backup here for like 10 years. He could do way worse, and is it better to be a starter on a bottom feeder or a backup on a (we hope) competitor?

That's the type of signing TJ has been looking for.

Looking at Golden's highlights and he looks a good fit for OLB3. Strong against the run and never-ending effort. Won't terrify opposition defences but any opposition that treats him lightly to double-team Heyward and Highsmith/Watt is running a risk. Nice pick-up.

One year at a time there. Don't know what other cap demands the team will have, what opportunities Trubisky will get and how he'll show... but it's a nice hope. If nothing else, having a guy who genuinely likes QB1 and is rooting for him is nice.

They've done a really nice job with this roster this offseason. The team may not be great - a lot has to happen for that to come to fruition, but this team should be WAY more physical and much tougher to play against.

To be clear I applaud pretty much every move they've made this off season, that said it does seem like Omar is a little bit too busy maybe? Why don't we calm things down a bit and see what we have here. There's obviously a lot of turnover, and that's not a bad thing on a non playoff team. That said let's just let things shake out of it with what we do have and stop making headlines here in May in june.

I don't think he's making move to just make moves. The moves he has made have been pretty pointed, IMO.

They have, but it's almost like we're turning over half the team here. And while that
might be necessary, it just does seem like a lot in a short amount of time if you know what I mean. I think he has done a masterful job. I'm a little lukewarm on our inside linebackers, but beyond that I think he has hit a grand slam with almost every other decision. But from here on in let's just see how the team looks in TC before doing anything else. The only thing I was hoping for is a guy like Brian branch in the draft to help cover slot receivers. That was my only issue with an area I believe we needed to shore up. Other than that I have absolutely no complaints with the additions we've made nor with the value we seemingly were able to extract. I just want them to settle in now and see how they look.
