OT: The Pittsburgher Thread: Ploff wins?!? Fire Tomlin

Fields would be a better option to run this offense where they treat it like throwing before 3rd down is a penalty.

I just don't get why they abandoned Russ attacking man coverage deep when it unlocked the offense when Russ returned from injury.

What did the offensive coaches do for the last 10 days, or the entire season for that matter, this teams playbook must be more like a pamphlet, there's zero innovation, and they're not physical or athletic enough to impose their will against teams

Week 18 and Art still doesn’t realize his running back isn’t Derrick Henry.

I think that about sums it up. Add in how predictable their plays are to the defenses - especially so as it relates to personnel and formations.

It looks like we’re preparing for next week’s blowout lol…

Oh by the way, Omar Khan sucks too. Art made him GM because he was already on the pay roll.

This team is braindead. Just a shameful coaching performance on several fronts. Shit execution, but bums being put in a position to fail are bound to fail.

I'm f***ing sick of Russell Wilson, too. I could have gotten that first down and I've had a spinal condition since childhood. You can't partner late-era Roethlisberger mobility with being easier to break than wet toilet paper. It's not like he's throwing it any better than any random back-up in the league over the past month.

I think Russ came in midseason and clearly performed a bit better than Fields overall, where they scored more points and led to a lot of Tomlin praise. But Fields wasn't bad at all, and i wonder how he'd have looked with more time in the offense and some development. Now they're facing the same record they had with Pickett, a guy who wants 30mm a year on his next contract, and they could potentially lose Field to another team in a QB-needy NFL. And it just doesn't strike me as long term thinking in this org. I wonder whether signing Russ was the right move in the first place given Fields was so very publicly available and Russ's career seemed like it was running on fumes.

Neither Russ or Fields are very good…they need another QB plan for next season
