Smith was the same level as Villanueva. Completely serviceable, made better by being part of a top notch overall unit. Didn't do anything spectacular, but didn't make many mistakes either.

Marvel Smith drove a big ass, bright yellow Dodge Ram with the license plate "Mrvlous." I pulled up next to him on 28 one day when there was still a light at the 31st St bridge. He filled up the entire window of that truck.

IMO, Smith was better than AV. Similar type player in that he was a noticeably better pass blocker than he was a run blocker, but Smith was noticeably better at both than AV.

Lewis Riddick on the Steelers draft after ESPN announcer says this is a typical blue collar Steelers draft: “yes, nobody really stands out” lol

The interesting thing about Freiermuth that I can't wait to see is what he looks like with a QB that can throw him open. I have watched some PSU, but even looking at his highlights, the QBs he has played with haven't been the best at throwing the ball before he's out of cuts.

That being said, I know a lot of people like to say "Baby Gronk"...I don't see that. I see a Heath type TE. Lunch pale type TE that can move the chains and be a target in the red zone. I don't foresee Freiermuth stretching the seam like Gronk or making those ridiculous quadruple teamed catches. He's still going to really help the cause though. I'm happy we took him.

I dont know why people are so down on this draft without seeing these kids play. It's obvious we are switching to zone blocking and maybe some of those other lineman didn't fit that scheme.

Acting like just because the mock drafts you read for 3 months by the schmuck that lives down the street didn't hit. Then it must be a bad draft.

Harris - Game Changing 3 down RB that can create opportunities on his own.

Freiermuth - reliable pass catcher, good blocker. Probably the most well rounded TE in the draft. Also has 10 inch hands (Gronks were 10.75)

Green - One of the top Zone Blocking centers in the draft. Also has a mean streak.

Moore - another good zone blocking lineman. Excels at Run Blocking, but isn't a scrub at pass blocking.

B.Johnson - IDK much about this guy so I'll reserve judgement until I do more research or watch him play.

Loudermilk - big bodied gap filler that excels at run defense. Situation player at the moment.

Roche - Situational depth pass Rusher which he is good at. Not great at run stopping.

Norwood - ball hawking slot corner, better at zone than man and need to work on tackling.

Harvin - ray guy winner, all American, 3x all conference. Averaged 45 yards a kick, with a high percentage landing within the 20. But even more important hopefully no more Jordan f***ing Berry.

I'd give the draft a solid B at this very early stage.

The truth is strong in this one...

You forgot the free agent CB from Michigan State with the 3rd Rd grade. Shakur Brown - people were screaming for him in the mid rounds. Cracks me up we got him as a free agent.
