Is there a QB even worth taking in the top of the draft this year? Last year was the year to suck this hard.

The 2022 QB class is pretty shitty IIRC. I think Matt Corral is the top rated QB, and I think he projects to be pretty good. But there's a massive drop-off after that.

I think Rattler is the next best QB, and his profile lists him as having issues with arm strength and size. So yeah, unless the Steelers are picking top-5, they probably won't get a good enough QB next year.

It sucks to watch but this is for the best.

I'd want them to beef up the offensive line at the draft, get some sort of Bridgewater type of stopgap next off-season and then draft a QB in 2023.

It turns out there are a couple of other intriguing QB options, with Malik Willis also catching my eye, but I'd rather beef up the offensive line before doing anything. Look at what Wilson is dealing with on the Jets right now, any rookie QB would get murdered behind this offensive line.

I would be perfectly happy with them using a pick on Pickett. He's been absolutely torching college football this year. I don't know that he has legit starter upside, but he probably ends up a better backup than Rudolph.

He has mobility too. Rudolph is athletic, or athletic-ish but his brain doesn't allow him to process moving in the pocket and reading the field.

It's tough.

Either way I think big improvements are coming to the OL with the cap space we have. Also just because we're dunking on them now...they are rookies and second-year guys. They will improve this year.
