Yeah people act like getting a new QB will solve everything. The HC, OC and DC are high school quality dumpster fire. No QB is coming here to develop into anything with these clowns
The defense isn’t the problem right now. They are giving up 24 a game. We can’t judge the oc until he actually gets to run his offense. He got Nathan peterman drafted.

I told you all.

Welcome to reality.

And just remember. Mike Tomlin was extended this past offseason. He's contracted for 3 more years. He will never be fired.

Enjoy.
Yes he got the extension early to put up with Ben coming back l. Try extended Mason also because AR2 wanted Bens farewell tour in front of the fans

Big Ben with the excuses is so on brand.

He's just not a likable human being. Obviously the alleged assault stuff is very bad, but there have been ironclad accounts of him being a douche for years in/around the city. The constant exaggerating of injuries. And as far as QB IQ goes, he's just nowhere near a Tom Brady or Manning. And Ben's still a HOF'er, easily. Good to great QB for many years. He's done. I predicted he wouldn't finish the season under C and I'm not coming off that position.

missing "in the flow"

My personal favorite was a couple years ago. The Trib reporter asked Coach Clown about Anaylitics and since he didn't know how to answer the question he got real defensive and angry at the reporter.

WE DONT DEAL WITH THAT, WE PLAY TO WIN!

RAH RAH motivator really working these days huh?.

If they can score 24 points on offense and the defense is healthy they can win 10 games. Denver Seattle Green Bay are all winnable before the bye. We get the Bears plus the division games Tennessee

Then maybe you can explain why Clown had to step in for Butler in the playoffs and they still gave up close to 50?

His latest quote is equal parts hilarious and frightening:

It was so bad that when faced with 4th-and-10 at the Bengals 11 with 3:09 remaining, the Steelers came out of a timeout with a play that had no chance — a dump pass in the flat to running back Najee Harris that the Bengals stopped for a 1-yard loss. Tomlin’s explanation was as surprising as it was pointed.

We had fired all of our bullets at that juncture in terms of some of our play selection, man,” Tomlin said. “It just wasn't a good enough play to get in there.”

Add that on the Tomlin bingo chart between “dying on the vine” and “I’m not a fraud, who’s my Huckleberry?”

Then maybe you can explain why Clown had to step in for Butler in the playoffs and they still gave up close to 50?

Tomlin has been calling the D on game day for years - the record setting playoffs debacles are all Tomlin.

I am now firmly in the camp that Ben is toast. No arm strength, he can't run fast enough behind the worst offensive line in football. I feel awful for Najee because you can see the frustration. He's getting killed. The drops are killers still. If they get a top 10 pick it needs to be an offensive lineman and not a QB. Get a new QB, it will be the same result. Green is not a C. Turner blows. Chuks blows. Dotson and Moore are really the only two decent linemen, but even then, Moore is getting blown back into the QB consistently and Dotson is getting no push in the run game. 2-7 in the last 9 is a really damning stat for a coach who has never had a losing season.

His name is Evan Neal and he plays for Alabama. Find an established QB and trade for him (a la Matt Stafford), use the cap space to bring in legit free agents.

I can’t stomach the though of a ‘hamster wheel’ QB like they would get via trade or FA.

I saw that fish before and it’s agonizing.

Tomlin is poison though, so he would likely f*** up a new franchise type guy they draft.

Huge catch 22, but the wise decision is starting a new era free of Roth and Tomlin.

Unfortunately, AR2 is incompetent and can’t make the tough calls - he’s the Mike Tomlin of owners.

Ben is officially cooked.
I never thought I'd say this, but can Rudolph be any worse?

Years past Ben would have 1 or 2 WTF plays where he was a moron. But then he'd come back with 1 or 2 amazing plays that kept the game within reach or pulled it out of his ass.

Those days are done and so is Ben.

Yea the Oline hasn't been great, but he's taken a bunch of needless sacks/hits because he refuses to thrown the damn thing away.

And again, can someone explain to me the difference between Canada and Fitchner's offense? Because it's the same garbage.

99% of this board has been saying the same thing for years so I'm not sure who you pulled a gotcha on.

Sorry but you're not the smartest person to ever grace the internet.

Yeah, Ben is done. There's nothing left there but nostalgia.

Najee is going to take a beating this year. Legit worried he's going to be run into the ground, or Ben is going get him killed on one of his 18 check downs each week. If for no other reason, they need to bench Ben to save Najee.

This will be a losing season. I can't see how it doesn't end up that way.

Well the most "hilarious" part of that to me is allowing Derek Watt to actually touch the damn football.

And if you run that stupid shovel pass again in the next 3 games you're an idiot because people in the NFL catch on pretty quick. They did it like 4 times yesterday. It's a disaster waiting to happen

Oh it doesn't matter if it's Ben or me taking snaps because Harris is going to have a billion snaps by the bye week alone.

People want to focus on carries/catches to determine a RB's workload. But just being out on the field running a route or pass blocking is taxing on a RB's body.

But we don't live in our fears and all that...

Just finished the SNF game... man... what is it with teams scoring with 1 minute left on the clock only being ahead by a point or two?
SF deserves every little bit of that painful loss. YOU HAVE ONE MINUTE LEFT AND A FIRST DOWN FROM THE 2 if the guy just caught it and went down... nope, had to push for that TD.... good job.

Totally disagree with you. You are advocating for a player to not try and score a TD to tie the game and potentially put his team ahead with the extra point with a minute left in the game? That makes no sense. If he goes down at the two and then his team can't score the TD then what?

His defense needs to step up, plain and simple.

I'm not so much worried at the total snap count, as I am the punishment he takes on carries/catches. Way more likely he gets hurt on a dump off where Ben hangs him out to dry because he can't avoid the rush or make a throw past 5 yds.

Because its more telling of who he is and he didn't like it.

An intelligent person would say - "It's an interesting tool, analytics, and I'd love to explore that more so we can utilize it in ways to improve our team."

Mike's response was more akin to - I don't get it so f*** you and f*** off.
