Do we need to compare Wilson and Ben over more than just this one game to get why there is more concern about Ben? I really hope we don't need to do that.

Are you kidding me? What planet do you live on?

Turn on just about any national news channel or online media platform. Everything is about race today.

ESPN routinely brings race into their shows and narrative across TV/print.

You bring up race more than any poster on HF.

Oh and just checking based on the original post...
Since: 5/9 with nothing of impact and a fumble.

Keep that same energy.

He just dropped the football. Like outright dropped it hahah

Wow, I guess we're seriously comparing the offensive performance of a QB who led his team to 4 touchdowns yesterday versus 2.

4 > 2. 30 > 17 as well. But what do the charts say? What was the xGF%?

Goff is a pretty bland average QB.

Mason Rudolph is a terrible one. Like maybe the worst in the NFL.

So basically they are both backups at best.

Also I saw Dobbs quite a bit chatting up Ben yesterday, so based on that Rudolph is not the worst QB in the NFL.

Goff has 3 turnover since the original post was made. And I had completely forgotten about this whole thing before I got troll-tagged into this disasterclass of a thread. Had it on ignore and everything. But getting trolled by @T1K reignited my rage and I got to rage watch this game. So in a way it was cathartic.

On the issue of black coaches, I think the Rooney Rule needs to go and the NFL should focus their resources on ways to find and develop talented minority coaches. The Rooney Rule is basically forced diversity and that never works well.

I'm no fan of Goff, but he definitely has a track record of being well better than "a backup at best"

He's prime Andy Dalton. A stable mediocre starting QB.

Pretty sure they have a program already. It’s intern coaches for retired players or something like that. A team is required to have so many of them. At least that’s what I can recall.

There have been a number of studies that have claimed the rule isn’t working, so perhaps it’s time the NFL looks at it and comes up with something better.

Perhaps a hybrid of the Rooney Rule and give incentives for hiring minorities?

Many people consider the rule today to be somewhat of a failure, but I guess on the positive side it helped lead to Tomlin’s hiring…

The U shaped offense returns

So again, I ask: "What is different from Fitchner and Canada?"

No intermediate throws across the middle at all (again) . I think Ben is missing those easy throws but I also think he doesn't think they'll be there bc the LB's are clogging the middle bc no one fears our run game.
You only have to send 4 if you're a DC bc this Oline leaks pressure all damn game.

play the field position game down 9 points with 8 minutes left in the game?

jeus christ you have to be $hitting me

He's essentially is telling his defense: we need 2 stops from you

The same defense who is down 5 starters and looked increasingly gassed as the game went on (understandably)

Tomlin doesn't learn jack shit. It literally was the same scenario in the Clev playoff game

Basically this upcoming game against the Bengals is a barometer for the season….if they lose to this team at home, there really is zero hope…I’ll be avoiding all future games that aren’t nationally televised and getting back to my Sunday pickup basketball games if they lose lol…

He knew his offense was not scoring any way especially if they had to drive the field. You hope for a turn over and shorter field
