What’s going to be the excuse when we lose to the Bengals next Sunday and Burrow outplays BR? Oh, we’re just too banged up, our young guys haven’t gelled enough, guys…

The excuses every year by the Clown apologists are injuries "and bad luck"

I have argued before that the injuries sustained year after year are due to poor coaching (whether it be because they're not being directed to a better conditioning program or its the typical Clown Show "beat your man" philosophy week after week is not putting them in a position to conserve energy, putting them at further risk for injury.

Although the Pens have similar issues with injuries year after year, I don't think it's related to the same root or cause as the Steelers.

There’s Harbaugh going for 4th and one at the end of the game to salt it away…and then there’s Tomlin

Sometimes I wish I didn't spend half of my youth in Pittsburgh.

I catch myself watching the Pirates and I get sad.

I mean, imagine being a fan of any other sports team. I’m not a Steelers fan. But in terms of hockey, imagine being like a Blues or Canucks fan.

We so lucky. It is why I’m such a dick to the negative ones around here.

I've been slightly coherent for 7 city championships. I'd say that's pretty darn good.

As I've gotten older I don't really care that much anymore. The Steelers need a new coach and I find myself not giving a crap about it. I just like watching and enjoying the game rather than getting all upset over a poor performance.

Damn, I sound like a boomer.

If we go by your logic then he would have already been regulated to third string, cause ya know "he can't do it" .
He should have not been brought back to begin with. After the playoff loss to Cleveland he should have been forced into retirement they should have went with Mason and Haskins this year and suck. No the organization Colbert spending future picks to go all in with Ben while saying it’s going to take a few years to get the player’s Canada needs to run his offense

He can barely get under center and you want him to run a QB sneak

Ya he can barely get under center… what an asinine way to try and defend Tomlin’s cowardice.

What about the guy they spent a #1 pick on?

Guess he can barely get 8 inches either?

Tomlin is a fraud that runs his mouth about living in fears and punked out.

Bad decisions are his specialty - when a guy keeps telling you what he is, believe him.

I think the constant haters of players are frustrating. But hating the coach is different. It means you think this team can do better with different guidance and usage. That's how my fandom has been lately and while I get being a fan of a storied bunch of teams, it can't be where we rest our laurels.

Exactly, couldn't have said it better. Again, you and I both have a different opinion on Sullivan. But we seem to have the same opinion on the Steelers.

I had to do the same thing for myself for self-preservation. Once Tomlin wasn’t let go after the Jags’ playoff game, I stopped investing so much time in the team. It’s clear he’s pissed away the last decade, and will continue to waste season after season.

With the current political climate, he’s not going to get fired.

After watching yesterday's Chiefs Ravens game, all I wanna say is football is infinitely more enjoyable when you have a good offense. I miss the days of the killer B's.

Now, our B is killing us.

The current political climate effects Tomlin not being fired, how exactly?

Not sure why so many people keep wanting to take this angle when this team hasn’t fired a coach since 1968.

It’s the Steelers’ philosophy. Pick at that, and rightfully so, but don’t use race as an excuse for Rooney being afraid to fire Tomlin.

I don’t believe it’s the sole reason he won’t get fired (to your point it has way more to do with the fact that the Steelers just flat out don’t fire coaches) but I do feel like it plays a small role. You’re kidding yourself if you don’t think the minute he would get fired it would get turned into a race issue by talking heads (especially because he’s never had a losing season, blah blah blah) and the Steelers absolutely don’t want that PR storm brought on….but it’s about 95% that they don’t fire coaches and 5% the other stuff
