I want them to draft Carson Strong - but his medicals are worrisome.

I’ve been trying to explain this is how I feel and we have some people on here who “just can’t root agt the Steelers”.

Which tells me they need some kind of instant gratification and don’t understand short term pain for long term gain.

We keep getting conflicting reports:

2022 NFL Draft: Steelers to exhaust QB possibilities with aging Ben Roethlisberger continuing to underwhelm

If Tomlin truly doesn’t want to try and find a future franchise guy, he is even more of a fraud than I think.

Unfortunately, we don’t have Dan Rooney around to stop him from doing something dumb like Cowher almost did.

Again, none of this matters if he’s too stupid to get a real OC to develop a young QB.

He seems to enjoy having cronies around, rather than doing what’s best for business.

I think Strong could use one more year in college. I think if he goes back he has tools to develop into a top 10 pick.

I have absolutely no faith that this staff can develop a QB.

1. The same things that I loved about Jones and Trask last year I love about Pickett. Accurate throws, quick accurate reads, and he even can run some. Size as well. He will be fine in the Pros. As I have said the Lamar Jackson copy cat league has been way over done.

2. If the Steelers can't develop a guy like Pickett, or couldn't have developed Jones, then they can't develop anyone.

Depending on how much the Steelers tank over the rest of the season, Pickett may not even be available for them in round 1. But I hope he is; give me a QB with brains -- and who can get the job done physically too -- over any guy who's just an "affweet". The Steelers should be looking for the next Tom Brady, even if his time in the 40 yard dash isn't quite Olympic-caliber.

I think if Strong clears his medicals, he will come out.

I have no faith in the current staff either - that’s why I said Tomlin needs to hire an OC with a history of developing young QBs.

f*** knows Tomlin is clueless about developing a young guy and Canada wears clown shoes so…

See that magic thing on his head?

That's probably an accurate picture of Tomlin calling the plays, not using the microphone

I think the concerns keeping Pickett from being a top pick possibly are hand size and arm strength.

If he had a stronger arm and bigger hands he’d easily be a #1 overall.

I don't follow college or even the NFL, but I've wanted the Steelers to get a new QB for years. Hope they do in the first round this draft. And I hope it's that dude from Pitt.

Looking at the standings, im not sure there is many teams below us that will be looking to draft a qb.

Why? We have a great guy wasting away on the bench.

It’s amazing how bad the Bengals can look when an actual team who can score points and defend shows up to play them….

My God, Detroit. . . . . .

Edit: And the Lions pull it out thanks in significant part to the Vikes unsuccessfully chasing points with 3 failed two-point conversions.

Question now is whether Jared Goff is elite.

The Steelers are so horrifically bad at third and long and have been for years

Glad that Jackson made a bone headed play.

But my God the Steelers defense has more holes than a brick of Swiss Cheese.
