Give Tomlin some love for keeping this crazy mf more or less in check for all those years.

Tragic. I wouldn't be surprised if AB doesn't live to see his 40th birthday.

Tomlin helped bring a lot of crazy to the organization, and then let that selfish/boorish attitude rule the roost. Which is in large part a reason why this team hasn't sniffed winning anything significant with "his roster".

Nope. That kind of treatment is part of the reason why we're still having issues now. Best case, it creates a double standard for the stars. Worst case, it's applied to everyone and even the pluggers think there are no rules. There are ... behaviors that a coach can let slip, but not ones like he's displayed over and over that are detrimental to the team.

Think it was around 2015 that I started to really dislike the players on this team: AB was a diva, then Bell/Blount caught smoking weed missing flights, etc. Even James Harrison was tired of this nonsense.

It's fine to be a players coach and all that, but when it's crunch time and shit needs to get done the discipline isn't there.

I feel like I'm a good father not because I'm their BFF. I'm a good father who sets boundaries and sticks to consequences when they step out of line- that's how you gain respect as a father/businessman/manager/human being.

Tomlin wants to be buddies with everyone. Hell AB's diva behavior was REWARDED by them throwing him a pass so he could continue his 5 catches for 50 yards streak. How many unsportsmanlike penalties did he accumulate? Was he ever benched? Nope.

But that's not Tomlin's job or something something

I hate AB as much as the next guy, but I don't remember him being this unlikeable until 2018 or so.

I think that is probably true from a public standpoint. But I've seen reports that there were hints going all the way back to college.

Najee Harris is on pace to equal Leveon Bell's 5-year Pittsburgh total touches of 1541... by the end of his 4th season.

Do some Googling. His childhood was a wreck and he was in a ton of trouble.

Ryan Clark warned the Steelers FO: "don't pay this guy because he's going to be trouble".

I'm assuming this is some kind of "Tomlin is bad" statement but there are far more pressing concerns with him than a running back seeing to many touches.

They are easily replaceable and the rest of the league knows this.

It would be so Tomlin now that this team is basically eliminated from the playoffs to win the last two meaningless games wouldn't it?

So how much time did you spend in the Steelers organization?

Spillane completely misread that one. His gap to fill was right there and he ran by it.

This team is awful…between the rush D and Ben throwing balls short of the line of scrimmage in order not to get hit…just lose this game and get a better draft pick

Decided to break my Tomlin boycott. Haven’t watched a game in about 4 years, but felt good about watching Ben’s last home game. Not expecting much.
