He was apparently pretty bad before that, but I’m sure that hit didn’t help matters.

Hopefully he gets some help - mental illness is something none of us should take delight in.

Watch the Brady interview he gave today after the game:

Brady totally realizes that AB is mentally unstable and needs help. I think his reaction and response is spot on.

He’s not saying AB is a victim. Brandt is old school - so he would never believe AB is some victim.

He’s just saying AB wouldn’t have been allowed to continue this way if he didn’t have so many enablers letting his behavior slide because of his talent.

There is a lot and then there is everything AB has done the last 3 years - he’s in his own universe right now.

He’s a time bomb wherever he goes and org still don’t get it yet?

Insane.

With the Bucs; Arians didn’t want AB from the start, AB getting to still play in the NFL the last 3 years has been all Brady.

If the Raiders lose next week and we win both are we in?

Raiders and Chargers play each other next week and both are 9-7, so the winner will get to 10 wins and get a playoff berth…the Colts are at 9-7 too…if they lose to Jacksonville (9-8) and Steelers win their last two games to go to 9-7-1, then they will get the last playoff spot…that’s their only hope…but since Jacksonville has only won two games all season, they aren’t winning lol…so give up the pipe dream people…the Steelers deserve the playoffs like I deserve a $100 million lottery win…

He needs help ASAP before he winds up taking his own life, or the lives of others. Happens far too often with mental illness.

No idea where his life goes from here, but I think we all know it won’t end well without help.

Coming in to say this. I think Brady knows how very talented AB is and thought he could GOAT him into staying with it. That he seems now to get it is an indication that he’s done to the same realization as a bunch of folks before him.

I hope the Antonio Brown story has a happy ending.

There are around a half dozen teams in the NFL that the Steelers can’t compete with.....I don’t care what their record says, they are the worst team in the division.
Worse than Cleveland who is stuck with Baker 18 million dollar cap hit next year and one decent WR In DPJ?

I'd say he blacklisted himself from the league but the league is also stupid.

Just read an article today talking about Roth’s legacy… realized how bananas it is that Heyward was talking about how Roth was a 2 time grizzled SB vet when he was a rookie… and now Heyward is the greybeard of the D.

A bad team with nothing to play for beating a team that needs a win to make the playoffs is unlikely.

A bad team with, not only no incentive to win, but an incentive to lose beating a team that needs a win to make the playoffs seems impossible.

As much as I would like the "Tomlin has never had a losing season" talking point to go away, I can't stomach seeing Ben lose to the f***ing Browns on Monday Night in his final home game. I hope he plays well and pulls out the win.

He would have been to 3 Super Bowls, 2 time winner. So even greater.

I'm sure at that time it felt like a dream to get drafted by the Steelers.....I mean it has been better than most teams but the expectations over the past 10 years have been much much higher than what has been achieved.

AB never ceases to amaze with the shit he pulls. More and more I am starting to buy into the miracle that was keeping him inline for as long as the Steelers did lol

Hey remember when everyone in the media blamed Ben when AB whined about not getting a pass thrown to him? Remember when the media claimed Ben should be more of a leader and straighten out AB?

I love how narratives don't die because they get repeated enough...

Just wait until Brady is able to talk to AB, he will be able to set him straight..........

The guy is driven by money and ego, he doesn't care about anything else. From what I read yesterday, AB was like 8 catches and 50 yards away from getting two $350k bonuses. No doubt in my mind that he thought yesterdays game would be easy and that they would blow out the Jets and he thought he would get his catches and yards......and when that didn't happen and he was told to sit down cause they needed to win the game that caused him to go crazy. He wanted his catches and yards so he could get paid. He didn't care if they lost.

uh, according to Ariens, he wanted to put AB in the game and AB refused, thinking he wasn’t healthy enough, so your interpretation is not correct…

By that point AB was already furious he wasn't in the game and basically was throwing a tantrum. Basically, AB had made up his mind that he wasn't playing the rest of that game, no matter what Arians had said, he wanted the team to lose because he wasn't playing.

Which is why he left, he knew he was done with the team and took off his jersey and left.

Success and the Steelers hid AB’s issues for a little while. He got kicked out of two schools and his parents house before landing at C Michigan. And they had to assign a babysitter to him to teach him how to adult. The guy has always been a head case. That’s why he fell to round 6 in the first place.

Every interaction he has is negative. I know two small business owners here in Pittsburgh that got screwed over by him. He’d hire people to do a job then just flat refuse to pay and ghost them. He’s shown red flags for years. Even back to when he just started to get good with the Steelers he was blowing off charity events and scheduled press interviews.

I heard on the radio today there is speculation that AB planned all this because he was releasing a rap song... so he wanted the publicity.

Normally I would say that is too insane, but this is AB so we can't rule it out.

He’s trying to claim he wasn’t healthy enough to keep playing in the game and the coaches said he couldn’t be with the team if he didn’t do what they said…he went off the field doing jumping jacks, haha. Dude is a wreck.

Antonio Brown update: WR told Bucs coaches he did not believe his ankle was healthy before exiting - Sports Illustrated

AB quit on the Steelers bc Juju won MVP. This was the week of a must win game a few years back.

He's a quitter and likely has some mental health issues. But I still find it hilarious Ben got blamed for it in the media.

Give Tomlin some love for keeping this crazy mf more or less in check for all those years.

Tragic. I wouldn't be surprised if AB doesn't live to see his 40th birthday.

Where are you getting this info?

from what i know is he couldnt go to FSU because of grades, went to prep school and transfered to central michigan when elligible.

as far as being throw out of the house, that certainly happened but to my knowledge the reason has never been public.

If the Colts lose on Sunday, while the chances are slim to none, the Raiders and Chargers could literally kneel the entire game for a tie and both of them are in the playoffs.
