The Steelers were 6th in PA and 7th in TO%. If they weren't an elite unit they were the very next thing to it. Everyone gets injuries so I won't blame the difference on that but they certainly didn't receive good luck either. Yeah, they didn't have a great playoff day but there's plenty of teams who had worse, including the DPoY's.

So I don't really get this whole "the Steelers don't deserve it". By this metric, it should have probably gone to someone on the Ravens, the 49ers, or the Chiefs, and we've just seen that's not how it works. I know Cleveland had freaky YA stats but the were also t-13th for PA and got beaten like a drum in the playoffs.

I'm not hugely exercised about Watt not getting it because I don't watch Garrett regularly so I don't have a clue. But using him not getting it for an exercise in Steelers self-loathing is weird to me. It's not like the Steelers were some freaky awful unit.

And what Watt getting DPoY or not has to do with the franchise's focus I've no bloody clue.

Tbh, if we're looking at this from the whole "this franchise stinks" thing, I'd have absolutely loved Watt to have won it because it asks harder questions about why the hell don't the Steelers win a playoff game.

Micah Parsons is absolutely my dude as a proud PSU man. He’s going to win DPOY next year, book it.

Also, really happy for Flacco winning comeback player of the year over Hamlin. Hamlin and Pickett both will be bagging my groceries around this time next year.

Basketball is an insanely more popular sport than hockey, hell it’s right there with the NFL. Steelers were a laughing stock for years and look now.

Or if they get a cheap owner like Nutting who won't spend as much as he should do

If I had to guess it’d be WNBA. They’re gifted money by the NBA and play in mostly empty arenas.

Our team is so far away from competing in the Playoffs.

Coaching is mid to mediocre.
Scheme is mostly mediocre to poor.
Offense needs a huge leap to be competitive.
Defense won't get far if they can't balance out a little. Can't cover TE one game then can't stop rush next game then pass.

BTW this SB is pretty dull, very sloppy

I don't think it's sloppy at all. Both teams have coached their teams up pretty well. Timely play calls from both sides.

Each team seems to call the perfect blitz once a series or a really good Offensive play call.

Our team never shows up like this ...

It's crazy that 5+ years into the Mahomes/Chiefs many SB trips... with low draft picks, the Chiefs seem to be getting even stronger.

Meanwhile, we can't find or teach a dude to block.

Big thing to notice is composure. Steelers have none. Chiefs do. Steelers would have taken a bunch of dumb personal fouls.
