There will no doubt be endless debates about the QB position in the off-season, but I bet the Steelers won't even consider dropping any over-priced deadweight from what has turned out to be a very overrated defense.

Sometimes the opposition is just better. You can change certain schemes and be more opportunistic. But the disparity in talent is sometimes just too much to overcome. And I'm talking about both the players and the coaching staffs.

It's good to remember that Tomlin needs to be sent away. At times I forget and get caught up in the week-to-week excitement of the season, but the big picture takeaway is that he and his 2nd rate flunky staff get dominated against elite teams & staffs every single year. Dude is a human dead end. NHALS can GFY.

Also, being unprepared under this coach isn't likely to all of a sudden change. He is who he is.

I wouldn’t even say this is a collapse. It’s just what they’ve been the whole season, only now they’re playing teams that are actually Super Bowl contenders instead of playing the Jets and Giants.
Like I’d still feel decent about this teams chances in the playoffs against Houston but beyond that they’re going nowhere. And until the actually take their offense seriously I don’t think they ever will.

I am not so sure Arch comes out in 2026. I could see him going back to Texas, especially if he doesn't have a National Championship by then.
I don't think Arch has any rush to get to the NFL.
they are a team that needs everyone healthy and a little good luck to be successful. it's no surprise that they are struggling

The last 2 games the difference really has been horrible turnovers. Win that battle...probably win these last 2 games. They happened at back breaking times and positions on the field. Whatever...we knew that when they got to 9 games it was very possible they lost every one that point out. Non-losing. Non-winning. Doesn't matter.

In a perfect world, I think you re-sign Wilson but draft a QB in round 1 to sit behind him for a year or 2. The mock draft website I use (Walter Football) has the Steelers taking Milroe at 25, I think drafting Milroe and sitting him behind Wilson for 2 years is an excellent option. The thing that concerns me though is that I think Milroe at 25 is a bit of a reach, but I don't think he'd be lasting until their 2nd rounder.
If they could do it, I'd probably trade down with their 1st for an early 2nd and another pick to draft Milroe with that early 2nd. Have Milroe learn from Wilson for like 2 years and then hand the starting QB role over to him.

Milroe would be a nice option to sit for a couple years behind Wilson. Or Fields, since I'm not sure Russ is the best option for $40mm contract. For Milroe, 2nd is better, but I think so many teams are QB needy that some reach a bit and you're going to have to spend a 1st. His combine is going to be ridiculous and I feel like he's a late first guy. Steelers have a lot of needs but they need a long term vision at the QB position and they have to keep trying to find the guy.
