Those two throws is exactly what people have been saying Pickett needs to learn about being "nfl open".

Safety playing inside coverage? Throw it up to Pickens 1v1 on the outside. Take the chances when they're given. Same with the throw that lead to the PI, one on one, Pickens should win that, or force the db to make a play or penalty.

Why did they allow Pickett to go in for another series if they suspected he had a concussion? Something smells really bad there…second concussion in like 6 weeks

Question: if when Pickett returned to the game and if he had thrown aTD, would he still be in there?

Yeah that’s a good point. Pickens beat the Ravens CB and the S was playing too far inside, so it made a very easy window for Trubisky to make that throw.

Challenge: Dionte Johnson not running backwards after making a catch *IMPOSSIBLE*

Honestly, if Trubisky would have played like this at the start of the season, he wouldn’t have lost his job so quickly IMO. He doesn’t look like he’s playing to not lose his job, he’s just playing.

Pickett out for the rest of the game in concussion protocol.

The OL is going to get Pickett murdered if they don’t improve it.
The OL has looked pretty good recently and even today outside that one confusion that led to the sack of Pickett

It’s been a recurring theme this year that the offense looks better with a QB coming in cold off the bench than it does when the QB has gotten first team reps all week.

Funny enough, they might still be better off taking risks offensively that might lead to turnovers but will keep their offense actually moving the sticks, than playing overly conservative to avoid turnovers which neuters the offense and leads to shank punts from harvin.

I mean, their offense has been working marvelously well over the past 4 games with Pickett “playing overly conservative”.

That interception was not “taking risks”, it’s Trubisky being horrendous at scanning the field. Which has been his issue for years.
