He made a shitload of money in his career and doesn't want to work 16-20 hours a day?

Dude just keep your small brain thoughts to yourself from now on. There’s zero correlation between being a good player and being a good analyst, coach, or anything. It’s a completely separate gig and skill set. The pile of failed former pro players turned coach is a mile high, and a it’s a lesson unfortunately many idiots fail to learn from.

The point at the end of the day was EVEN A DUDE ON TV better understands how to draw up passing routes than the guy our team employs to do just that. It’s an embarrassment and nothing else

The funny thing is the concepts he is talking about he ran under Marks while he was a ram it’s basic west coast stuff the it was just slow to develop but you can see it worked the lB went to the flat and Muth was open

You’re giving yourself too much credit lmao no one’s paying attention to your takes other than to point out repeatedly how off the mark they are

What exactly is your point? Arguing for the sake of it?

I have a feeling that the Steelers will end up picking Porter Jr with their 1st this year, which will be another nepotism pick that will actually work out due to how good Porter Jr looks.

I think CB is arguably as big of a need for this team as LT.

Secondary is deep in this draft, so we should be able to snag a really good corner in the 2nd. How I would ideally like to see our draft shake out is one of the LTs with the 1st pick, a corner with the first 2nd, and Saiki Ika with the second 2nd. The defense would be pretty well set at that point, and we got a top-notch player at probably our weakest position.

My point is that Kurt Warner is not just an analyst. That's it. .:fence:

I'll try and be less critical in the future. Will that work for you?

I'm interested about that really I am. I'm going to ask this ONCE AGAIN to those on the other side of the fence. What makes him a good coach?
Nothing, theres no such thing as a “good” coach. At least not the way you and most people think of a “good” coach.

In a league where the talent between teams is not that wide coaching makes the most difference. Such an asinine position take, undoubtedly only held to obfuscate

Quite the opposite, i believe that talent gap between coaches is pretty much non existent (apart from the obviously terrible). And that the talent gap of players is much, much wider and more importantly much more important. Also much more important is the randomness of football whether its how it bounces, injury, who plays ip to potential that day or the actual weather.

Peoples obsession with middle management when it comes to sports is just weird.

Tell me whose a good coach? You all love Hairball and his team has blown muiltple 4th Leads this year and will probably blow the division.
Tomlin is 3rd in winning percentage with out his HOF Qb only bellacheat and Reid without Maholmes because of mcnabb are ahead of him.

I don't care about his winning percentage or his record or how his record compares to others.

Again....My question was what uniquely makes him so good?

Even if I agree with most this, I'm inclined to believe Tomlin belongs in the obviously terrible category. It's not apparent on the surface because of his winning % , the team he inherited and the blah blah blah.

“I’m taking an obviously wrong and asinine stance on football coaching to avoid admitting Tomlin is a bad coach”

Your entitled to that opinion but imo nobody with a good winning percentage over that long a period can be in that bucket.

I think Mike McCarthy is a perfect example of my theory. Nobody and i mean NOBODY not named McCarthy thinks that man is special in any way. But he is clearly competent enough to keep the trains running on time. Which is really what a head coach is there to do.

I think people get obsessed with a fictional ideal of what a coachs job is. Whether its because its general scapgoating, or peoples experience with HS level where coaches DO have an outsized importance or what?

Nah,

But even if it was true, id still take it over angry whiner act all day every day.
