This is going to be a curb stomping tonight. Joel can get 50 easily if he wants it.

Raps have no C. Koloko is starting and he should be in G league. So damn weak.
Best defensive player in OG is hurt. As is Trent Jr, Achiuwa and Porter Jr.
No bench scoring. No outside shooting.
No one can stop your guards....too big, too fast.
This will be game over by the half.
Oh, you're here to do this again...:sarcasm:

"Poor poor pitiful me..." We've seen this act before bro. We're on to your head games.

Doc will probably still get outcoached.....lol
Not even he could mess this game up. And honestly, Nick has been bad lately. Losing by 20 with 5 minutes left in game last night, he has starters in....knowing it's a b2b. It almost feels like a low key tank is happening.

Seriously, the Raps are just awful. Lots of hero ball and just iso after iso....which they are poor at. Lost 5 in a row, played last night, had to travel, while Philly is rested at home.

Embiid can score or get fouled every possession if he drives the basket. Who is going to stop him? Birch? Boucher? Koloko? That's the options...lol. Feast JE!

Naw....Raps are actually awful to watch this year. Like Flyer vibes awful. Should be seller's at the deadline.

It's too late. Your credibility on this subject is gone.

Is Tobi the Sixers' JVR? He's in every trade proposal, and I'm not saying certain past criticism is without any merit or that he's not overpaid, but he's done his absolute best to adapt offensively. Would they actually upgrade from this quick trigger, hyper efficient version shooting 40%+ on 6 3PA/g?
I've been basically saying this for a while. Maybe he's overpaid but if you trade him are you going to upgrade that position? Probably not. He's been a great team guy and is reliable, he rarely gets hurt and on this team that matters. If an opportunity comes along that actually makes the team better then fine, but I don't see the point of shopping him just to clear salary. The spot that needs to be upgraded is, and has been for years, SF. So in my mind if you trade Harris it has to be to make way for an all-star caliber SF, and one who is on the South side of 30.

I will withhold my judgement of Tobi's worth for the stretch run and playoffs. He has worked hard to adjust his game to be a better complementary piece and he has always been a character guy. He can be really hard on himself when things don't go right and then he forgets to play his game. Last year he had a pretty good playoffs with his D mostly but then fell off some in the 2nd round. Agree though...you move him to fill a need elsewhere if the opportunity presents itself.

They DID upgrade Tobi. With PJ. Or so they thought.
Tobi's only shot this well for this long once in his career: That stretch right before he was traded here.
He's 30 now and aside from heaters he's always been an average shooter.
Maybe he's turned a corner and he can be that big floor spacer that was envisioned at the time of the trade.
Or maybe he'll regress to his mean per usual.

Harris is a puzzle wrapped in an enigma. He seems to get overconfident like chest thumping that he is an all star and then goes into a funk where he has to go sit in a dark room. No stasis with the dude. If he can remain consistent then ya he is an asset but so far he's been a broken record.

I wish the Kings didn't balk at the trade for Haliburton. Morey should have pressed for that trade but he had that Houston Hard on for Harden..

Harden is doing good but more runway with Haliburton.

There is no universe in which a 37 year old PJ Tucker is an upgrade over Harris. PJ is a career 36% shooter from 3, 48% from 2, 51% eFG%. Harris: 37/52/53. I suppose you could argue Tucker is a better defender, or at least more tenacious/physical. Harris has averaged 16.4 ppg for his career, PJ 7.0.

Morey cannot possibly have been thinking PJ was an upgrade over Harris. Matisse, maybe. But even there not much if any.

Then why did The Best Executive In Sports give a 38 yr old one dimensional forward 30/3 to move Tobi out of his natural position?
I agree with you, Morey is a dumb***.
He knows PJ from past teams and PJ has a ring and Jo said he wanted him and PJ is 'tough'.

I like Tobi. Its to his credit he's had a nice run early playing out of position.
Im also am not, and never was, down to kick him to the curb because they lack NBA bodies as is.
I just wont be shocked at a regression, if it comes.

He's both a valuable piece to the equation and not worth his deal in the slightest.

My guess is that Doc is facing the guillotine if there is another flameout this season. Then it gets interesting to see how much time they give Morey.

Harris is a 39.2% 3-pt shooter over the last 7 years. Calling him an average shooter seems like a serious underselling from a pure talent standpoint. What he has been too often on the Sixers is a reluctant shooter. And it does feel like he's flipped that switch. There's no hesitation on open looks, or even rising above close defenders.

Taryn interviewed him after the game last night and he was pretty emphatic on how hard he's worked on his catch and shoot. This is from last night's game, a different player than we saw when he first arrived.

Brutal honesty, composure big reasons Sixers now far more 'ready to win'

On catch-and-shoot threes, he’s at 41.6 percent and has bumped his volume up to 4.8 attempts per game.

“It’s just staying ready,” Harris said of his outlook. “And I know that if you threw me out there two years ago, I wouldn’t be able to get going. That wasn’t a mentality for me of just catching and shooting really fast. ... At first it was tough, but now I’ve kind of changed my mentality towards it and said, ‘OK, if that’s the case and the situation, how do you be the best at that?’
