Saudi fund owns Newcastle in the Premier league I believe... I've also read how much higher value some MLS teams have compared to even some other European teams just because there's no threat of relegation in MLS. I would think MLB/NFL/NHL/NBA being even more high profile would check-off that box immensely for foreign fund groups.
Manchester City is owned by UAE oil money as well.

I was referencing more this

There's 3 MLS in the top 20 (17/18/19) in both LA teams then Atlanta and 7 of the 30 listed are MLS.

I mean Inter Milan is a massively known international name for soccer and they're basically like $30m more than LA Galaxy.

We were trying to figure out what the best Wemby comp is. The only two names that made any sense at all were Arvydas Sabonis and Ralph Sampson. I like the former option better.

Sampson's really tough because while we'll never know if he could have extended his range out to 3, indicators like FT% don't look good.

I'm personally saying no to that immediately.

I'd also make the argument that while Bridges archetype isn't going to carry you to a title, it's more difficult to find a star version of him than it is to find Simons.

I think Bridges is very significantly overrated and got a lot shots on a mediocre team after all the trades. I think I'm even being generous saying he could become a 'good #2' on a LEGIT contending team.

I'd take my chances that Simon + Brandon Miller/Scooter Henderson ends up being something of more value than what I think Bridges ceiling is.

Give me Amen over every other named asset — Bridges, Scoot, whatever.

I don’t understand the Miller thing at all. I definitely wouldn’t take him top 6. Maybe more. I was lower than consensus on some of the comps that make sense (Jabari, Reddish, etc), so maybe it’s type.

Wait..... the sixers fall into this category?

Of all the 2nds Hinkie acquired I don't think any are left. They lost this years 2nd for tampering with Tucker. They'll prob buy one tonight though since they only have 8 players under contract at the moment.

Our 1st was traded for Harden, then BKN traded it to the Jazz for Royce O'Neale.

I love every young guy the Rockets have but I expect that team to implode spectacularly.
