Would have loved Torts (minus the media antics). Give me Boucher as he's the closest option. We need a guy who stresses defense and intelligent play. DeBoer was the right guy when we had Parise, Kovalchuk, Clarkson, Elias, Sykora, Zajac, etc on the same offense. This team is drastically different now. Time for a philosophical change.

That's one thing I do blame Lou on. I don't think Matteau was worth not forfeiting the pick. I'm not very high on him either, and don't think he'll be very good. That's for a different discussion though. I can't really blame Lou too much for the roster.

I do think we should have used both amnesty buyouts this year. The other on Volchenkov. He's really clogging up a spot on this roster that can be had by a younger, cheaper, better option. He's a PASSENGER in every sense of the word.

i fault him for plenty of other things, but that move was awful. it was so dumb, so dumb

how can you not give up that pick?

And I mean it wholeheartedly when I say Deboer has created this culture of playing for a point. 38 OT's since he's been here. We've been to OT more than any other team since the start of 11-12. We haven't lost many OT games, but we haven't won many either. 4-6 in games decided in OT.

2 or 3 of those OT losses came on PP goals against too. This team plays for the shootout, plain and simple. Tonight they were playing for another point, and it burned them before they got to OT. They were playing for a point against Vancouver as well. The TSN crew who did the game on NHL Network picked that out.

Only if Stevens goes too. Go ask Lemaire who he thinks should coach the D cause I have no clue who is out there to get them going.

There are a few plain as day changes that need to be made, but the domino effect has to start with Lou firing DeBoer. Going 11-20-10 in your last 41 should always cost you your job. New coach has to bench the old farts until Lou gets rid of them.

I used to be a fan of Stephen Gionta, but the fact that DeBoer keeps playing him over other guys like Loktionov shows DeBoer has no ****ing clue what he's doing.

At this point, I'd be fine with Boucher over any of the other options not named Lemaire who I really don't think wants to coach again but I wouldn't put anything past anybody when it comes to him and Lou.

Boucher's best friends with Lemaire's son.

But the Lightning blew defensively, even though Boucher was suppose to be a "defensive coach"
