Personally, after the consensus-ish top 8, I'd go...
Rudolph - especially after the Tkachuck trade, I really only see Preds or Blues taking him. I think he's absolutely worth the pick and just as the protoypical RHD he's worth it value-wise. I know some people won't want to hear this but he reminds me of Dobson. And I say that as a complement. I mean we just traded him for 2 firsts+, and he absolutely won't need the burden of being the team's 1D.
Cullen - I don't see him falling to 13, but his skating and skill would be a steal personally. These types of guys are usually steals and are looked back on with teams regretting not taking them (Barzal, Sennecke, etc.). We've been begging for more skill, so even if there are some downsides, I can't see how people prefer guys who almost certainly will top out as 3rd liners other than outliers (and if we're talking outliers than I could easily see Cullen as a ppg first liner).
Belchetz - again, after the Tkachuck trade I don't think he's falling to 13 (again just value-wise its very reasonable he'd return market value), but I'd love him. I know he has his concerns, but I believe his skating will improve and he has the skill to be a top-6 forward. Also cool that he's friends with Schaefer
Gustaffson - Just an absolutely quality defender. If he was a RHD I think he'd be in the Rudolph tier and while I'm a BPA guy, we already got 50 min of gametime in Aitcheson and Schaefer locked up, so value-wise it won't return much (I'm not opposed to them playing on their offside but I guess I'm a little more traditional like that. I feel it just diminishes their abilities a little bit even if its better than the next option. Kinda like paying more in a trade by including a cap dump type vibe).
Lawrence _ I really like his skating and how he's well regarded as a well rounded player. Could definitely see that played with Eiserman. I also think if he stayed in the USHL he'd be regarded in the Malhotra tier and that he's getting criticized for going to the NCAA. Now that gives us more insight, but as we know BU was a tire fire and I think he'll show much more next year.
Hemming - I like his compete and physicality but just question is high end skill a bit, which is why I prefer Belchetz. I definitely like aiming for the ceiling, especially with a top pick, but I like him enough to be happy with the pick. Again, he was well regarded before going to the NCAA, and even though he still showed a lot of positives that demonstrate what he could be going forward.
