It is, but I’m not sure I want Fitzgerald making it. I know when the coaching was made I said he gets another year to fix it (and he will), but seeing the team so lifeless makes me question if he should. Then you look back at some of the other moves and non-moves made the past year and you wonder if he truly understands what made the team successful last year and if he can get back.

I get that teams that sell at the deadline tend to fall apart and be checked out, but this is stunningly bad. As an outsider everything so far this year points to problems being at the top.
No issue with Fitz and letting him go would be a huge mistake imo. Need a new coach and bottom of the roster adjustments. Based on his interviews, he seemed to understand what needed to happen this summer, from the coaching/system to the bottom of the lineup.

Travis Green line adjusting is like trying to find the last life boat on the Titanic, you're basically f***ed if you're doing it

Holtz and some scraps is a fair price. Holtz value has to be really low right now
They don’t want Holtz any more than the Sharks did last year when we tried to fob him off there and they held firm on Muk and Zetterlund

The coaching hire + goalie trade are arguably his last chances to prove to this fanbase he's the guy. If he misses even just 1, he won't be here that long. He needs to nail both

We will see. Anyone can talk a big game. Actions speak louder than words.

There isn't a single move Fitz has made that I've been entirely against. He's done plenty, so not sure I get that part. He's been plenty active. I've been happy with his roster moves.

I think he should've canned Ruff earlier, maybe kept Brunette, but that's about it. I'm confident in him.

I don't think I've seen a worse 5 skating group than Tierney Nosek MacDermid Bahl and Brendan Smith in my life as a Devils tan and we had some horrific lineups in the past decade
I don't understand why we're so insistent on playing ALL of them at this point.

I think that's something Fitz may deserve blame for. Green definitely does.

Tierney and Nosek are terrible and don't actually have to play. MadDermid is here because of Rempe (LITERALLY) and one of Bahl/Smith have to play, but it shouldn't be Smith. He's really about ready to blow.

I do wish Nosek and Smith would have went at the deadline. You'd think someone would have been interested in Nosek. Maybe even Smith too? Unless they've caught on to how bad he now is.
