The issue with Mercer is his value is at all time low and Fitz could probably be talked into a Saros trade when we were ignoring Mercer+ for Hellebyuck and Timo just last year lol

Yeah, agreed, but I don't think I'm moving him anyway. Only for a top goalie. I truly believe in all the bad the coaching staff has caused.

Next coaching hire is huge.

It is, but I’m not sure I want Fitzgerald making it. I know when the coaching was made I said he gets another year to fix it (and he will), but seeing the team so lifeless makes me question if he should. Then you look back at some of the other moves and non-moves made the past year and you wonder if he truly understands what made the team successful last year and if he can get back.

I get that teams that sell at the deadline tend to fall apart and be checked out, but this is stunningly bad. As an outsider everything so far this year points to problems being at the top.
