Big problems or Sweden with Hank Sedin destroyed by Torts. New lines in practise.

Landeskog-Zetterberg-Steen
Louie Eriksson-Bäckström-D Sedin
I am not quite sure on the other lines, something like:
Berglund-J Ericsson-Alfie
Hagelin-Kreuger-Nyqvist
Johansson, Silverberg

Thought it would be
Landeskog-Zetterberg-Loui Eriksson
Sedin-Bäckström-Steen
Nyquist-Berglund-Alfredsson
Hagelin-Kruger-Jimmie Ericsson

H.Sedin will be missed, but those two top lines can go toe to toe with anybody. I think both Canada and USA have far better depth tough.

So team Canada is doing their lines like this... two players who play together with a all star....
Carter-crybaby-crybabys buddy
Nash-toews-sharp
Tavares-getzlaf-perry
???-???-???
They didn't post the fourth line

H.sedin is going to be a impact but missing Franzen is just as bad

Bergeron will spearpoint Canada's 4th.

With Canada's loss of Stammer, Sweden's loss of the better Sedin, this tourney is wiiide open. Should be fun. I can see any of 8 teams medaling and any of five winning the gold.

I know Russia's d is suspect but I think they have to be a high favorite. Mostly due to how Varlamov is playing. Not to mention home ice.

I think Canada chose a good team for the big ice too. Obviously no matter what they were gonna be the most talented but I like their mix.

Sedin out makes Sweden a bit more competitive with the field otherwise is have these 3 an easy 1-3. Obviously they have the great equalizer in Hank. And they are built for big ice.

Should be interesting. Hardest part is gonna be avoiding spoilers / getting an excuse to play hookey.

First 3 games are Thursday Saturday Sunday all at 7:30 right? Any idea what NBC channel yet?

Norways opening match (against Canada) is Thursday 18:00 local time (so noon for the east coast, unless im messing up the timezones again).

The US plays 13:30 local time on Thursday (so 07:30 east coast) against Slovakia.
Then Saturday, again 13:30 against Russia.
Then Sunday 13:30 against Slovenia.

Doesn't the US open against Slovakia on Friday?
Double checked :

February 13th, 13:30 SVK - USA

Since the east coast is 6 hours ahead of me, that should mean a 07:30 start on the east coast, on February 13th (Thursday).

I think...lol.. timezones just makes me dizzy :)

Yeah our days are off due to timezone. No worry, just punch in "Mens olympic hockey schedule" on google and they time adjust all the games.

I don't understand why the people that don't like Olympic hockey find the need to put their 2 cents in this thread. To annoy the people that like it?

USA lines at practice this morning:

JVR - Pavelski - Kessel
Parise - Backes - Callahan
Pacioretty - Kesler - Kane
Brown - Stastny - Oshie
Wheeler/Stepan

Suter - Shattenkirk
McDonagh - Carlson
Martin - Orpik
Fowler - Faulk

Miller also hinted to start.
