Note that oft-discussed DL Tyleik Williams goes 63rd in this mock draft. Also oft-discussed mammoth Kenneth Grant goes 15th.30.
Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky
Rasul Douglas struggled in 2024 and is set to become a free agent, leaving cornerback as a major need for Buffalo along with the defensive line. Heading into the combine, Hairston was clumped into a cluster of corners who were in the late-Day 1 to early-Day 2 range. But a good performance in Indy catapulted him to the top of the group, highlighted by his 4.28-second 40.
Hairston is a perfect scheme fit for the Bills and can keep up with any receiver. His loose movements and fluidity allow him to easily change directions and attack the ball out of the air. He maintained his physicality this past season even though a nagging shoulder injury limited him to five games.
56.
T.J. Sanders, DT, South Carolina
The Bills have two major issues along their defensive line -- lack of depth and not being able to finish when rushing quarterbacks. Sanders solves both problems, as he routinely generates pressure up the middle and his 2.40-second average time to first pressure this past season led all FBS defensive linemen.
62.
Andrew Mukuba, S, Texas
Mukuba, an interchangeable safety who can wear multiple hats in the secondary, would be perfect for the Bills. His breakout senior season resulted in a career-high five interceptions, proving he has the ball skills (and instincts as a run defender) to be an early starter.

Reid's new two-round NFL mock draft: Which prospects are rising in the top 64 picks after the combine?
Jordan Reid projects landing spots for top NFL prospects, three QBs and plenty of combine risers over the opening 64 picks. And he even has an early trade.www.espn.com

Adams 1st choice is likely to follow Rodgers again I would think ? (who's left, NYG ?, and depending where Darnold lands). But if not I know they liked him in the past.Edit: Jets release Davante Adams. I'd take a swing if he's not looking for a massive payday.
If he chooses to follow Rodgers again, after that disaster of a season, they truly have the strongest friendship of all time lolAdams 1st choice is likely to follow Rodgers again I would think ? (who's left NYG ?, and depending where Darnold lands). But if not I know they liked him in the past.
CB is one of the positions that the Bills will be looking for a starter this offseason.CB is just about the last position I'd want to see in round 1. I'd be happy to take another receiver if a stud DT doesn't fall to 30. It would be sweet if Burden fell, but Golden, Harris, and Ayomanor all fit what we're missing.

There are plenty of decent enough corners in FA, and McDermott has a long history of getting the best out of mediocre DBs. It's not something I'd want to spend a 1st on when they already have a very good CB1 in Benford and much more glaring needs elsewhere.CB is one of the positions that the Bills will be looking for a starter this offseason.
If CB is the best player available at a position of need at that point in time, I wouldn't hate it.
There are guys that can fill any number of the primary and secondary needs that they have at DT, DE, CB, S, WR, and RB in FA.There are plenty of decent enough corners in FA, and McDermott has a long history of getting the best out of mediocre DBs. Given how last season went, I doubt they go with a splash move at WR unless it is a perfect culture fit like Cooper.Looking at the depth chart, the big areas of need are on defense.
You need:
DE across from Rousseau
CB across from Benford
A DT next to Ed Oliver
And a safety.
On offense, you probably need a boundry WR across from Keon.
Overall, that is adding 5 starters.
Now, I think safety is the easiest to fill via UFA. Lots to pick from that won't break the bank.
And its going to be a rotational one with Rapp/Bishop
DT is probably going to get filled via the draft...just given the relative depth and there should be 1 quality one available
I suppose if a top graded CB/S falls to us at 30, we could pick one up and pick best available DT at 56.
I think at CB it'll be a draft one/sign one strategy where our CB3 is a young player we can develop
At edge/WR....I think these will be the two splash moves. Maybe both via trade.

What do we think of Slayton ?They have their slot receiver locked up long term. They have Keon on his rookie deal. They also have Samuel as WR4 and (hopefully) Hollins as WR5. There is definitely a need opposite Coleman. I also think with Allen being well established as the top offensive player on the team (and league MVP) the pecking order will be firmly in place for any WR coming in. I don't think they are going to go after any diva WRs
^^Here's my WR take...I rec'd Hollins last year before Beane made the deal, Palmer is my guy right now as far as a 'dumpster dive' with some upside still.Thinking about FA WR's, I see names like Hollywood & Slayton being thrown around but I think they might even be too expensive/risky, a guy I'm interested in to add to the mix is Josh Palmer, still only 25, can play X/Z, great ball tracker, can get off the line, has produced pretty well as a #3 and #2 at times, his best year went for 72-769, he's projected to get $4-5m, also 'local' being from Brampton, Ontario.
I'm just not sure this is the year to pay up for a FA WR seeing some of the projections for 1B/2WR types, considering the different useage numbers we see from this offense.
