That's not using hindsight whatsoever....using hindsight it's obviously a landslide.I thought it was just the 1st, Girard and Bowers like the poster said. I forgot about the other parts of the trade. Nevertheless, you can't say the Sens 1st was worth more at the time of the trade than SJ's 1st is worth today. If you can play captain hindsight like that, I'm going to start pointing out all the other trades where we drafted a player with a pick we acquired. Like how we totally fleeced Dallas by trading Auld for Stone.
One is a cup favourite, the other a playoff bubble team at best. Which pick would you prefer? Obviously Dorion never knew how bad we were or he wouldn't have traded the pick, he viewed it as a 23-31st overall pick, which was a mistake.
We never fleeced Dallas, we had a fair trade and used our good scouting to get Stone. Maybe Dorion should stop trading picks like candy so we can let the only aspect of the organisation that is pulling it's weight in our amateur scouting staff do their job. Maybe if we actually traded Auld for Stone you'd have a point.
