Drake been semi sus since forever lol This is nothing new
Not really. It’s definitely new that the older he gets the more he wants to be on some sadboy ting. He was definitively the MAN of the last decade. Now he’s trying to pout and look cute. Shits weird.

You are so off lol Drake was always on some sus/soft/sadboy shit or whatever you wanna call it. I suggest you to relisten to his first projects and watch some old videos/pictures (Don’t lol).

Did you forget about the beardless Drake era? We’re talking about the guy that blew up from Best I ever Had and rapping/singing about strippers breaking his heart… come on now.

I would say that Drake started acting "tough" in 2014-2015 when he dropped the mixtape "If you’re reading this it’s too late" (One of my favorite Drake project) and a couple hard tracks like 5AM in Toronto… Before that he was mainly seen as the corny soft dude.

finally listened to all of Donda. to be honest the only tracks that will be hitting my playlist is Jail, Grid and i didn't mind Pure Souls. Musically it is a phenomenal offering. Lyrically it fell flat on me. Probably would give it a solid 6.5/10.

What about the track "Jesus lord pt 2" featuring Jay Electronica and The Lox? I think it’s the best song on the album.

ya that joint was pretty good to. long but good. Think i liked Jay E the best on it and very easily.

I do have a hard time with Kanye as being lyrical as he doesn't write most of his own lyrics but collabs with other writers. Which isnt terrible by any means but it makes me question his bars when i hear one. Did he write that? or did someone right it for him? I want to give him his dues when i hear something fire but its always in the back of my head that it could not have been him.

for example there are 9 people credit with writing on this track but only 5 artists perform on the track. so I wonder who the other 4 wrote for?

kinda dope to see that Swizz was on this beat.

Yes I agree about the writers lol

Fun fact, Kanye used a Swizz Beatz Instagram story and sampled it for the hook, that’s why he got credited

I listen to Kanye for the production and the features. He hasn’t personally had an interesting thing to thing to say in like 10 years.

Music is so dead smh.

7am on Bridle Path is cool though, but still man I can’t take this beef seriously lmao. It’s goofy as hell, mostly because Kanye is a damn goof.

I'm enjoying CLB but it's bloated and there is too much to digest for a first day evaluation. I do think it's one of Drake’s best rapping performances, period. Some of the songs are redundant though, especially in the back half.

I like Champagne Poetry, All Love, Fair Trade, TSU, 7am on Bridle Path, Race My Mind, You Only Live Twice, and the Remorse.
