There are actual human beings who think Frost sucked & deserved to be ruined and run out of town by Torts, who also love Brink and think Torts is helping him. Complete cognitive dissonance.
yup those are the fans who are legit happy the club hasnt won anything in 50 years. but have remaine faithful to "Flyers hockey"..

who needs wins when you can have a tired old dinosaur culture club...

I just watched the first couple of minutes of his presser today. Tortorella is a scumbag. He identified Foerster and Cates as part of the foundation and when asked about Brink, the clown said that he's playing scared every night as he should. What kind of idiot says something like that, especially about a young player who has stepped up? I tried to be positive with him, but he's toxic. Briere said that Tortorella is the right coach to lead these guys? Is he high? Tortorella is going to ruin Brink and I'm wondering if he gets off on ruining players. He's got to go. Like keep him away from those young players going forward. And where are the veterans to step up and protect these younger players? God this team needs someone who can stand up to this tyrant.

He is again targeting the best playmaker on the team.

He will always do this, and never stop until all of them are gone.

I'm still trying to figure out what "Flyers" hockey is because it seems to be a really catchy slogan every time a new coach and GM is hired, but nobody ever defines it. The only thing I associate "Flyers" hockey with is tired old cliches for saying "we don't know what the f*** we're trying to do here" hockey.

Flyers hockey is purposely left ambiguous for over a decade now. They have no identity in the modern era of hockey other than the tired old cliches as you note. So basically Flyers hockey is left to the individual and how they define it in the constructs of their own mind. They hope enough brainwashed fans do this so they don't have to answer for their corporate approach to running this team where mediocrity is acceptable bc it still nets them enough value, revenue and profit on Comcast's balance sheet. This is why comcast allows the patronage and spoils system to continue with a compliant Briere, a bunch of fat cat senior advisors and an authoritarian coach to maintain order and who is surrounded by incompetent underlings who will go along to get along and have no real chance of displacing him as long as the senior misleaders keep validating and giving him carte blanche to shape the antiquated and regressive team culture as he sees fit. In short, this team is going nowhere as they are presently run. At most you'll see is a flatline...

The Flyers are a starless team, with the possible exception of Michkov and Knoecny. What they are mainly is a boring team that is being forced to play in a defence first mode from a coach who should have remained retired.
John Tortorella was brought to the Flyers from the insistence of "senior advisors" like Paul Holmgren and Bobby Clarke.
The game has passed by Tort's just as fast as the other teams in the NHL standings. Tortorella hates offensively gifted players like Michkov, which is why they butt heads fairly often. It is time for the Flyers to hire a younger coach from outside of their family. They need to put an attempt into playing NHL hockey in the 21st century style, which highlights offensive abilities, speed, and reliable goaltending.
