I'm having as much fun as anyone, and it's hard not to get excited the longer this drags on, but that Morosi hit this morning was basically just a recap of everything we already know. In some ways, I tip my hat, it's a phenomenal bit of Insider-ism, but he really says absolutely nothing. Covers his "imminent" with "may happen today", notes there were five teams still in this week and never notes whether any of them are no LONGER in it. Says the Jays are a "finalist" which only states they're one of the five, which we know already. Says "momentum" is building post-Dunedin visit which is really just a meaningless word salad. Again, this is fun, hard not to hope, but Morosi really said nothing this morning.

Tweet dead, what did it say?

He posted the Canadian flag

Morosi does a ton of radio and TV hits up here. He's playing to the market to keep up his profile. Again, Ohtani could very well wind up here, but Morosi winking at things is about him. If he could confirm something he wouldn't be being cute on Twitter, he'd just confirm it.

Morosi is quite literally the biggest troll out there. He’s always on the FAN and tweeting out high profile names with the Jays being linked or interested in them. He knows how to get the clicks that’s for sure.
He's definitely on the lower rung of the "big name insiders".

I have a question for people that know baseball

Tommy John surgery and a elbow issue which he has had will he pitch again ?

He can play in the outfield or infield
He wp or can he if he can't pitch in the future ?

F5 season in full effect.

I am a fairweather baseball fan and this is the most hyped I've basically ever been about baseball lol.
Same. I'm a little more than fairweather but I'm not a Jays fan and I'm sitting right near F5 with eager anticipation hoping that he signs with them.

He is expected to DH this year, then pitch the year after. The Jays might opt for a 6 man rotation when he returns (which would keep them with the same number of bullpen arms)

Edit: He can't play the OF because of his arm, but if his pitching ever dropped off, he would move to the OF.

Once his arm is healed up he can play RF, next year he will not be throwing on the field or on the mound. DH in 2024
