I have a question for people that know baseball

Tommy John surgery and a elbow issue which he has had will he pitch again ?

He can play in the outfield or infield
He wp or can he if he can't pitch in the future ?
He won't pitch this season.

He will try to pitch in 2025. You never know how someone comes back from tj.

He can never pitch again he can play of

He'll never be worth the $600M from a pure baseball perspective, but they will easily make that contract pay dividends if they market him well.
This is a business transaction for Rogers more than anything. They're not just buying a baseball player for on the field, but all the coincidental assets that come with him (merchandise, Japanese TV deal, marketing/advertising, etc.).

I really hope he's able to make a sucessful combeback as an elite level pitcher. His dual threat is what makes him a once in a lifetime unicorn. He wouldn't have half the status or popularity just being a DH.

This past season he put up arguably the best strict DH season comparable to '95 Edgar Martinez. If he stops pitching and moves to the OF we're looking at a Judge level impact with even better baserunning.

Having the luxury of going to a 6 man rotation would of course be awesome but worst case scenario is still an HOF trajectory player so I'm okay with that.
