Thats exactly what i expect. Plus bader or taylor in the outfieldImagine if after all of this we end up with Soler plus Chapman resigned at 25 x 5 as our big moves.

And Philip and others tooAgreed. I appreciate hockeywiz.

Wouldn't it be fun if the reason this is taking so long is because they're going to sign Yamamoto too and they want to announce them at the same time?

Sign Ohtani and Yamamoto, then trade Manoah, Martinez,Horwitz and Barreira to Tampa for Parades and Arozarena.

The markets are moving extremely unfavourably to the Blue Jays in the Ohtani sweepstakes.
As a professional sports bettor and someone who watches the markets very closely the Blue Jays have been taking sharp action all week almost certainly by people with a serious edge (that being inside information) the same group who leaked the CFP final 4 2 hours before it was broadcasted just unloaded on the Blue Jays to aquire Ohtani and the market followed closely behind, from +160 down to +100 in a matter of minutes.
Not looking to be a harbinger of bad news but these guys rarely get it wrong and the most accurate thing to track in this race will be the updated odds not reporters or news or inside sources.
Downvote me, upvote me, agree or disagree just giving my opinion and the markets opinion.
Most Canadians are suffering from inferior complex toward Toronto. Most Canadian franchises not name the Canadiens have a MASSIVE inferority complex towards us. I don't think the Leafs have an inferiority complex. The fans have a "grass is greener" complex, though.

He’s gonna sign the first dual contract in history. He’ll play 81 games for the Dodgers and 81 games for the Jays.FanDuel, the North American betting leader now has the Dodgers at -135 and Jays at -115. For the first time, a near virtual tie. Next closest are the Angels at +1500. Gentlemen, it's nearly Sho-time.

Is it just the same model of jet or does it have the same tail number?Someone on Reddit just linked the airplane being tracked as the same one Shohei took to America as seen on his instagram. I hate this airplane tracking stuff but I might be buying in
Bellinger? The trade any of Manoah, Pearson, Biggio, Martinez, Schneider for a 3rd basemen. Can’t see them opening the bag for Yamamoto as consolation.Does this management team have a plan B if plan A doesn’t come to bear fruit?
It starts to look pretty bleak if we compare anyone else to Ohtani. But maybe trade for Trout or Arenado?Bellinger? The trade any of Manoah, Pearson, Biggio, Martinez, Schneider for a 3rd basemen. Can’t see them opening the bag for Yamamoto as consolation.
I think Atkins said there's only financial room to sign one 5+ WAR player in free agency so both of Ohtani and Yamamoto together isn't happening.Sign Ohtani and Yamamoto, then trade Manoah, Martinez,Horwitz and Barreira to Tampa for Parades and Arozarena.
