Guerrero was doing terrific and had an OPS over .900 and OPS+ of about 150 when he tweaked his knee about 50 games into the season.

Instead of going on the IL, he missed 1 game and then tried to play through it and went into a horrible slump and simply hasn't recovered his swing since.

It's a false economy to think you're coming out ahead by playing guys through injuries. Kiermaier also got banged up a few times and hasn't been the same at the plate or in the field since. If someone gets hurt, give them the 10 days off and let them come back refreshed and healthy.

Mitch White clears waivers

Honestly that is good news. Didnt have a great start to his Jays career last year. And to start the year in 2023, he got hurt more than once, and was forced to pitch in AAA and he was bad. Without options they had to bring him up and what we expected happened. However, his FIP has been 3-4 points lower than his ERA which tells you something is there. Getting a full 2 months starting in AAA with hopefully a full, healthy off-season, we should have a better idea of what he can do.

He needs to do what made him successful in LA, limiting walks and HRs.

Shoulda got IKF instead of DeJong. He'll come around, but man has he been brutal at the plate since arriving. At least he is sublime on the defensive side.
