Lindstrom over Demidov any day of the week and twice on Sunday (for the Habs).. you may get a different response from either teams that already have a big top 6, they can afford to go with a CC part deux.
Thankfully Hugo is not going to draft another small forward, otherwise they would have taken Michkov... if we pick Demidov then CC will need to be shipped out.. it's common sense, you can't have 2 mugsy bogues in your top 6.. 1 is enough, especially come playoff time..
We are talking about a 5ft11 player in Demidov. He is around Suzuki size. I will be okay with both of them. I just want one of Celebrini, Demidov or Lindstrom in this draft. We need so much help for our top 6.

With the emergence of Iginla into a top forward prospect it makes me feel much better about our poor tanking skills.

With Celebrini, Demidov, Lindstrom and Iginla all as top forwards one or two of those guys are gonna be available where we pick no matter how this draft goes. I'm cool with any of those guys.

Is theres any truth behind the rumors of Lindstrom back issues ?

That would be a no draft for me...

In 2018 a lot of people here kind of wrote off Brady Tkachuk. Now we lament not taking him.

I’m not wagging a finger at those posters. I have huge respect for anyone willing to argue for something they believe and none of us are scouts. (I didn’t even have an opinion that year as I didn’t have much time back then so I can’t even comment beyond the fact that I was happy when we took a big center in KK.)

I bring it up here because… that’s what it feels like people are doing with Eiserman. He’s going to be close to breaking CC’s all-time record and already has an elite NHL shot at 17. I get that he’s got weaknesses but they can be developed. We always talk about taking a home run swing… this should be the draft to do it.

If we don’t take him cool but man… passing on him is a bigger risk than not drafting him in my opinion.

100% agree. The amount of deflating that went on with Tkachuk was more than most will be willing to admit. I was a huge Tkachuk fan and got moved off that pick with all the commotion. I admit, I was influenced. This does remind me of what's going on with Eiserman today.

Eiserman would be very much in the mix and the U18's will be a huge factor. Looking forward to see Iginla play in that tournament as well.

I trust Gorton/Hughes and their scouting team will do their homework.

I would personally value Eiserman and Iginla over Lindstrom. Not by a wide margin but the injury concern would scare me off from using a top 10 pick on Lindstrom.

Lindstrom was a 3rd round (54th OA) pick in the 2021 WHL bantam draft. I'd be curious to see how many players drafted that low in the CHL ended up being a top 10 NHL pick 3 years later.

My guess:
* Eiserman goes 3-8 range
* Iginla moves down and goes 5-10 range
* Lindstrom moves up and goes 10-15 range.

It seems like there's a huge diversity of opinions on where players will go from 2 to 10. Some are remarking they've never seen such a lack of consensus among the scouts they talk to.

It will be very interesting to see who goes where on draft day.

There's 0 chance of that tonight Tampa played last night recently called up some dogshit nobody goalie that we will face and they probably sit players like Florida did

We will beat Shatkins tonight and the Leafs suck.

Tampa is heating up for the playoffs and playing well. They are hunting down the Leafs. I think they'll win tonight, regardless if that shit goalie plays.

Sounds like Marner might be back for Saturday which would give them a boost, but hard to predict Habs/Leafs games.

Then travel Sunday to MSG, they should lose.

3 game losing streak by Sunday is very possible.

Celebrini and Demidov
Hey I’m all for drafting Celebrini. But that requires a lottery win.

As for Demidov, he’ll no doubt be more fun to watch. More goals though? I’m not so sure about that.

As I said, I’ll be happy with any of these guys.

As I watched Iggy Wiggy Woo Woo play last evening. I realized his team and his line mates aren't that good.
He was breaking into open ice almost every shift and they sure as hell weren't getting him the puck on time.
I laughed when at the start of the game; I think it was by about 25 second in Iginla already had three pucks on goal.

Matthew's scores more goals than McDavid, McKinnon and Kucherov but all those guys are a bigger game breaker.

I hope so but we have been playing hot and Primeau has been on fire.

Thats because Matthews doesn’t score in the playoffs.

Let’s be honest, that’s the real reason he’s not held in the same regard. He doesn’t show up in the postseason.
