Can you point out these people/targets out by chance?
Kakko, Pinto (not anymore but an example), Lundell, Evangelista, Dubois (No thanks). Theres more I’m sure. These guys and think of any players that might want out that are young. They may have trouble with management or misunderstood. We probably don’t even know who most of them are as stuff like that are usually internal. Drouin was another. They’re out there. Dach needed a new start and Newhook could be a good example of that too. Barron. May not be exactly all fresh starts but just younger players that are expendable for a hockey trade or for picks. Just an opinion

Rangers hit on a couple of guys (Zibanejad, Strome, etc) in that mold so I guess that's the blueprint. Thing is, how lucky can one guy get with taking chances like that? Maybe it wont be enough here...

Praying that Dach can stay healthy and that Newhook shows something sometime soon.

Looks like 8th last pre lotto is the worst we can end up doing.. the 6-8pt separation from the other clubs would be tough to overcome, especially with our schedule remaining.
It's definitely good to see that separation but I wouldn't count out Calgary out just yet. They have 5 points up but we have a game in hand but the key will be how far/fast they fall after selling Hanifin and Tanev.

I don't think their schedule is as tough as ours, however... and if we can get enough separation by then, we can keep them at bay. They also play in the weaker conference where Chicago and San Jose with Anaheim give away points freely.

Next year though, they are without a doubt being lower than us.

But they are blowing up the team at the deadline tho, and without Markstrom.. yeesh

We just have to hope we blow up ours a bit more too, I'm Supremely confident Armia and 1 of Savard/Kovasevic get traded
And hopefully 1 of the goalies (ironically were trying to get rid of the 1 that helps us lose lol)

It's certainly not a given that they won't stay ahead, I just wouldn't put them in the safely ahead of us category like I would a Seattle or Washington.

In fact Calgary has a pretty rough schedule right now with Boston, Edmonton, LA, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Tampa, Florida, Carolina, Colorado, Vegas and finally an easier in game in us. It then gets easier but by then they might very well be below us.

Yes, they will blow up their team.. we just need to have enough separation by then that there isn't enough runway for them to drop below us.

With the amount of time left and our schedule, I'm gonna remain optimistic there.

I would like a visit from 7 goal Monty tonight.
Thank you for your consideration.

I think we are going to rebuild for another 10 years unfortunately, this is the depressing.
Games are tight. Key guys are hurt, players are young.... I wouldn't count on it. Get another key part this draft, a healthy season next year, we're on the bubble and back on the up swing. Another 10 years? We're on year 2+ a bit. We can't count the 8 previous years where we were always half In half out.
