Just noticed some harmless posts about the lion and in-breeding got deleted in this thread. Yup. It's past due time for that alternative to materialize.

speaking of which....

For a while everyone was on about the mobile ads, and paying $10 to whatever random corperation runs this wonderful website to get rid of them...
If your one of those android kids with a rooted phone, go find AdAway which will block most ads on your phone for free.

so far so good.

I would, if I knew how to write up even 1 single line of decent code.

Even though I'm a Packers fan, at least I have the decency to not smack talk a rival like that.

Back to actual lions, I personally think they're overrated, because they use the numbers game like packs of hyenas and wolves do.

Lions kill humans. Where's the outrage over that?

vs a pack yeah, that is crazy.

But I think like one on one, I could take down a lion by hand. Its not really as much about brute strength as it is tactics.

Almost POSITIVE that lions and tigers are not only not the same thing, but actually reasonably different.

Incredibly different. They are both felines and the similarities end there.

You couldn't imagine how many times I reread that to make sure I was actually reading it right. Then I LOL'd. I love HF sometimes.

I suppose if one bit off your hand, the lion might choke on it and die. Is that what you mean by taking it down by hand?

Lions don't use a gun and hide behind a truck like a coward from a hundred yards away and then act all "LOOK AT HOW MACHO I AM" about it. Oh and humans suck.

You want to prove your a hunter macho dude guy?(not you but in general) Take a knife and go walk up to that Lion or bear etc. Then you can hang its head with pride, anything that puts you a safe distance away from your prey is wussy nonsense.

I'll preface this by saying I think people killing animals for fun are dicks and should be having their heads examined, not out collecting trophy kills. I agree with you.

Now that said, if you ever watch 10 minutes of Nat'l Geographic or the nature channel, you'll see lions and all other predators sneak up on weaker prey all the time. They'll get as close to an animal as they can. And if a lion had thumbs and fingers, they'd use a gun if they could too.

Humans in general have NEVER taken a knife and walked up to a lion single handed unless they had a death wish. Man has always hunted in packs and would hunt from a distance as often as they could. Spears, slings, bows and arrows, etc. are all part of the weapons arsenal of hunting parties from the past. Archeology tells us this.

The issue has nothing to do with using a gun, it has to do with the trophy kill.
