Been listening so some "new to me" stuff ...thoughts?

A cursory opinion,

Number one, too jammy for my impatience, but that's me.

Number two, me likey.

Number three, somewhere in between number one and number three.

Two cents.

Party on,

:thumbu:

Too funny

I'll have a look, but not before I post a few favorite twee. Stay posted. You can always claim high blood sugar.

Again, I've posted before, but Glasgow's Camera Obscura is twee beyond ye, hehe

Realize this is a lot, but I love this stuff.

More Blondie and Deborah Harry coming.

A promise, not a threat,

Thanks GH...

I was a New Order fan and now find myself seeking something new / similar. And for-whatever reason find myself digging Rave stuff these days.

David Krejci sees what isn't there when no one else does

To the opposition D-men

"You thought I'd need a crystal ball to see you right thru the haze"

"I'm Looking Through You" is one of my favorite McCartney tunes.

He was miffed that then girlfriend and future fiancée Jane Asher had a life beyond their relationship, thank you very much. Her acting career took her to Bristol to open a show, and McCartney, very much a product of Northern England and male stupidity of the era, was Not Pleased.

Alas and alack, the impending nuptials were not to be. Asher caught him in bed with Apple employee Susie Schwartz upon returning unannounced to the house they shared.

An "Apple Scruff" (Harrison's fitting appellation for the assorted fans, groupies and hangers on congregating outside the Beatles' homes and the Apple office building) attempted to warn McCartney of Jane's unexpected return.

"Oh, go on, pull the other one."

Asher sent for her things the same day, and that was that.

Enter the more pliant, and perhaps calculating, Linda Eastman.

But that's a story for another day.

PS: David Krejčí sees things that aren't there *before* anyone else does.

I didn't mean to be dismissive. We all like what we like, who knows why.

I don't know anything at all -- zilch -- about rave music. What is it, essentially? Music to get stoned by at clubs? MDMA (Ecstasy/Molly). No thank you to that part of the scene, assuming it is, in fact, a part of the "scene." I did my share of acid/mescaline in high school, but want nothing to do with any of that stuff these days, thank God.

In the event, I never got into New Order. Post a few from them if you don't mind.

Doubtless you are know what the term "Joy Division" means, yes?

I loved New Order, but they were not a good live band. Saw them at Great Woods one summer, and at one point I looked at the stage and realized the only one touching an instrument was the bass player.

Great Woods. That's the name, thank you.

I was wracking my brain trying to remember where my brother and I saw Neil. Wonder if it's still around.
