I don't know if I ever posted in the music thread before. Came across a couple of
musical factoids last night listening to music from the 1960's on Youtube, I never knew and found either amazing or at least interesting. They probably been mentioned here but I thought I would mention them.

Jimmy Paige played guitar on Petula Clark's "Downtown".

Only 3 musicians or groups share the distinction of having a song being the biggest selling single two separate years. Elvis, The Beatles and Percy Faith (never in my life would have guessed him).

I was listening to (and watching some videos) of Fleetwood Mac and wanted to say I always liked the way Lindsey Buckingham picked the strings. It was different than most other guitar players. He was/ is quite good.
Lindsey listened to the Kingston Trio records while learning to play as a young lad and would later meet up with their guitarist and return the favor.

Lindsey brought Stevie along to record this

Lindsey wrote this about John Stewart

Lindsey is a guitar player's guitar player. He can do it all,

Nice to see musicians giving back.

"This is my home," Fleetwood said in an interview that aired Monday on "CBS Mornings." "Nowhere else." When the flames began to spread in Lahaina, he was in Los Angeles visiting family. He immediately began buying emergency supplies, then packed them onto a plane and flew to Maui to help his community and employees.

Mick Fleetwood is hoping to help Hawaii "heal" with a concert following the wildfires. The 76-year-old rock star lives on the island of Maui - which was subjected to a series of devastating wildfires earlier this month - and is now trying to put together a live event to "spearhead" the movement to heal the area in the next couple of weeks.
