Did an impromptu trip to Baltimore for the wife and daughter’s birthdays.
Can report…
The inner harbor is a smorgasbord of options and struggled to find a balance for the kids and us, but still a ton of fun.
Nepenthe Brewing is great. Food was wonderful. Did an order of nachos and Carolina BBQ wings—both very good. Food menu was diverse. Beers were very good. Worked our way through their lagers, sours and ipas with all being above average to excellent. It was too god damn hot for anything dark.
Previous night hit Diamondback Brewing Company. Pretty good beer, had a couple lagers and ipas. They had a barrel aged barleywine that was aged on sagamore barrels—yay local!—but again, way too hot. Simple food menu of house made pizzas but still very good.
From the perspective to traveling and dining with the yutes, it’s all very walkable but very taxing on the kiddos. They were spent!
