I'll admit to an audible cheer at that cameo.

Also a secret hope that there would be some cause for the New Rep requisition officer to pick up some vaguely baseball bat like device and say "I did NOT leave the South Side for this!"

Much better episode than last.

But I can't wait for Andor to come back. I am missing the much slower paced story telling and tight-knit narrative structure.

I thought it was a very good episode. We can now clearly see the overall story for the season.

I like that they seem to be shifting towards Bo-Katan being the main character of the show.

I swear people on the internet don't understand what aging looks like

She looks like a super in-shape person in her 40s, which is exactly what she is.
Being healthy and not smoking/drinking will keep your skin looking great forever. Not to mention having enough $$$ for skincare treatments. She looks great. Kinda have to though in Hollywood if you want to stick around

For sure. People make the same comments about Keanu Reeves and Paul Rudd all the time, and while they both look great, they're also both clearly middle aged dudes. Plus, that particular still is washed out a bit so some of the signs of age she does have are harder to see between the lighting, angle and makeup.

On topic, I've been wondering if they're setting up Djin and Bo as future love interests. Sometimes their body language says yes, sometimes it doesn't.

She's posted her workout/training videos on her Youtube channel:

That’ll keep your body tone for sure but the face is alcohol/smoking/diet based. These people live in the upper echelon of QoL and they get paid hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars to look fantastic. They’re probably on extremely strict diets and workout regiments while prioritizing skin care.

Bill Burr has mentioned it on his podcast (also a Mando cast member!) all the time. How a “normal” body weight and diet makes you look fat on screen. He’s 5’9”/5’10” and if he’s over 170lbs he gets made fun of for looking like a fatty

It’s wild. To be in movie shape you’ve gotta live a skinny lifestyle all the time. Which sounds a little non-fun tbh but they make tons of money to be pleasant to look at on screen. I get it.

Yep

Actually she looks normal for age, and because there are so many people have an unhealthy lifestyle they look older than they should and it has become the norm, so unfortunately we hear stuff “wow you look young for someone who is XX young”

That was a good episode. I'm ok with the filler weeks if we get more like that. I wasn't sure how the Mandalorians of Mandalore Mandolorianing around the place plot would play out but the writers have sucked me in enough to be invested.
Maybe the Coruscant story was supposed to signal that Moff Gideon is still around and will show up eventually.
called it

That was the most entertaining episode so far for me, though I've been only lukewarm on the season. It felt very Star Wars-y and it was nice to finally get a sense of where the season is going. I'm not a fan of the season revolving around Bo-Katan, though. She's not a character that I'm interested in or watching this series for.

Some of the acting in this episode wasn't very good, IMO, and a few things seemed contrived, like the X-Wing pilot going to Coruscant in person so that the villain lady could overhear and then R5 being the explanation for him finding the hidden covert. The writing felt a little rushed to move the plot along, though it did make for a fast-paced and entertaining episode.

I agree with most of this, except for the Bo-Katan thing. Not that I like her that much, I still think it's interesting that they'd shift some of the focus on her - a more complex character than the very one-dimensional Mando and baby.

I can't argue with that. Just about any character is more complex than Mando, but it's still his show and I'd rather that the focus of it not change to a character who might be slightly more complex. If they wanted to focus on Bo-Katan, they could've given her her own spin-off, like Boba Fett got.

I can't argue with that, but you might agree that more complex than Mando isn't saying much. She seems a little wooden to me, just a little less so than Mando because she takes her helmet off more. As limited of a character as Mando is, though, it is his show. Maybe Bo-Katan should've gotten a spin-off that Mando could've had a supporting role in, like Boba Fett did.
Let's not hope for anything else "like Boba Fett"! (I didn't even hate it as much as most people, it was just very meh and 100% forgettable). I might be wrong with the complexity, I was under the impression she was a more conflicted character. But yeah, Mando is pretty much cardboard.

Bloody good episode, this is what I want to see, The Mandalorian lifestyle, practices, and customs.

*Spoilers*I guess that Moff Gideon is one of the Mandos that's currently in the group and the helmet religion makes it perfect for him to blend in.

My first thought was that there were Imperial-aligned Mandalorians loyal to Gideon. The covert we see doesn’t show all the Mandalorians left, which we know because Bo Karan’s mission is to find the rest of them. And it wouldn’t be the first time you had Mandalorians who were traitors to Mandalore (see: Gar Saxon)
