OT: The last time the Leafs were in the playoffs

I was finishing up high school the last time the Leafs made the playoffs. Now I'm in my final year of med school. Time flies.

I had way more hair.

This. Although mine is growing back gradually.

I had way more hair.

I was just outta college and actually married that fall. It was also the first year I ever went to a live game.

Same story now. Mortgage, wife, two kids and two cats. Oh, and 50 lbs. I've also managed to somehow sneak into a coaching position and a scouting leader role. Holy crap I feel old.

I was in grade 4 and I had not a care in the world. Now I am in University and well I still have that childish nature of when I was in grade 4. Maybe I can only grow up if the leafs are in the playoffs. :sarcasm:

"What do you expect ? Its the Leafs"? **** that and people who talk like that. Bugs the hell out of me. Even when the Leafs were cup contenders each year people still talked like that

Anyways , last time the Leafs were in a playoffs I was finishing up grade 9 and about to turn 15 years old. Jeeze time flies

I know, trust me. As I said, my wife says it to me to drive me nuts....and it works.:p:

This WAS and this IS my ride:yo:

I was in grade 8. I am now graduated from my undergrad in University. I went through my entire high school and university career without experiencing the Leafs in the playoffs.

Also:

- The Detroit Pistons were basketball's best team
- FC Porto beat Monaco in the UEFA Champions league final
- Entourage still hadn't even aired it's first season yet
- The reigning MLB champions were the Florida Marlins, and the Boston Red Sox curse was still in effect

I'm in the exact same boat (which the Leafs have since burned) They say high school and college are the best years of your life, and that was just simply not true.

iPod's were just introduced

Also was in my last year of high school .. Since then I've graduated university, moved out west, been working in my career and have attained a professional designation in my field

And I hadn't met my best buddy who is also a die hard Leafs fan, we still haven't seen a playoff game together!

To add to this...no iPhones or smartphones in general

I was single and working as a warehouse grunt at the same company I now own. Also, married with my third son on the way. So thankful for three boys as my wife doesn't like hockey or any sports at all but now she's majorly outnumbered and my boys freak out if she tries to change the channel when the game is on.

The last time the Leafs made the POs I could see the retirement light at the end of the tunnel and now I am there. In a perfect world the Leafs win the cup the same year I retire(this year).

I was in Grade 10.
Living with my parents, in London, Ontario
Remebering feeling so sad when Philly scored in OT to eliminate the leafs, not expecting a lockout the next year, and then looking forward to next year.

And now, I'm through college, live just outside of Vancouver, BC. Happy Married, with a great full-time job.

2003-2004 was the first season I started watching hockey, my twin and I became diehard fans that year, only to have it be the last year we made the playoffs. Moral of the story: I am a bad luck charm.

Everyone on our roster other than Grabovski, Lupul, MacArthur, McClement, Orr and Liles were younger than 20 years old. Nazem Kadri was 13.
