Did you guys see how hard the team celebrated that win, it was a hard fought GREAT win!
But all the guys were really patting Patty’s helmet, they all want him to stay. And Laine stayed on the ice to fist bump everyone when they skated off. I think he’s trying to take on a bit of a leadership role... if he gets more such responsibility maybe he’ll stay!

Thought Laine and Nikky looked quite a bit less rusty than everyone else. Mostly disappointed with Wheels and Helly.

That was fun! Called a 5-3 Jets win with empty netter, close enough I guess. Also thought Laine would score two just didn’t wanna jynx it. We dominated after that slow start, great win to get with Helly shaky. Loved it!
Oh and Laine is a stud, pay the man!

No he wasn't. Wheeler sucked, but Niku caused 2 brutal turnovers that led to direct high danger chances.
Wheeler spun his tires and accomplished nothing. Niku almost lost us the game twice. He has to be benched immediately after that performance.

Forbert was really good tonight. He looked comfortable with Pionk, saved a goal, and I didn't notice any sloppy plays by him. Beaulieu and Niku looked lost out there, especially Niku. Cannot wait for DeMelo to return.

Wheeler is legitimately not the same player anymore.
The writing is on the wall and he needs to be off our first line.

Niku needs to work on his game in the D zone if he is to make it to the NHL full time. DeMelo comes in for him next game
In regards to Forbert, he wasn't noticeable - that's all I want. Sbisa was always noticeably bad, so he's a huge improvement. Still a third paring guy, but I'll take what we can get.
