The ten year patch is worth the buy... Ten year season ticket holders got one too, if one has the inaugural patch the two make an awesome pair.. valuable as a set.

Nor do I.... I think there have been several short term guys over the years I can't recall... That said, because of that ten year patch the sweater has some value...

That's one of the main reasons I love this jersey so much.

On a different note, I have a puck collection. It's no great shakes, but I've got the ones I want, and what I can't seem to find right now is an authentic Columbus Chill puck (not a reissue). Anyone have a couple and would sell one to me?

I think it's nice! Love those obscure guys and the only way you can get this style jersey is to get a game worn or issued one!

The patch given to STH is different, it adds the text "season ticket holder" to it, and I think everyone got one...we did, and we didn't become STH until 2008. You're right about the 10th patch adding something to it though, the team sold quite a few but now they're all locked up in collections and you hardly ever see one for sale. That said, I have a game worn Pahlsson navy with the 10th patch and an ironed on A (he wore the third A when Nash was out with a bad back at the end of that season) and I can't seem to sell that...

Gotta be tr00 - that's half the reason I have a Jamie Pushor :)

I'll look around. I have some pucks but I think the closest I have to a Chill is a Chiller grand opening puck. ha!

Newest pick up. Tyutin home Stockholm game worn jersey. I already had Tyutin's road Stockholm jerseys and I wanted the his home one for some time so that I would have a set.

After being season ticket holders since the beginning, we finally won something for the early sign-up give-aways. We'll be picking up a team signed jersey on Tuesday.
 
The last jersey I bought was a blank third jersey the night they premiered at Tuttle Mall along with Boomer. At the time I was down on the team so much I didn't want to get a name because I didn't like any player enough to get them on it. I do not regret that move. Remember the promo pics featured Nash, Klesla, Vermette, and Umberger on them? Hah.


My candidates top 3 candidates for my normal Union Blue jersey are

1. Bobrovsky. The only guy on the roster that can be called a "cornerstone" at this point. Most likely will be a long time Jacket.
2. Murray. Love his game, and can see him being a long time Jacket. However, he's still young and anything can happen with his development, trades, etc.
3. Wisniewski. Loved the signing from the beginning. He's lived up to the hype and done everything he was brought to the CBJ for. However, his prime may be ending soon. And I don't see him as a Jacket beyond the end of his contract. Maybe the worst "investment" of the bunch.

Just throwing stuff against the wall. I need some outside opinions before I drop the cash.
 
Matthew it all depends on how much of a stickler you are for the small details. The jersey you have was only worn during the 2010-2011 season. It has the JHM wordmark and the Reebok vector logo on it. So to be 100% correct it should be done as a player from that team. If you'er not a stickler I say go with the player you most want and don't worry about if the player will be with the team long term. There's nothing wrong with wearing a jersey of a player that is no longer with the team.
 
Ah, I am going to get a fresh one. Not get my current one done up. I remember seeing a few Filatov and Huselius jerseys done up in the old 3rd jersey style (with the black sleeves) and thought it was too much of a jersey foul .

In that case I'd go with who ever you like best.

If I was going to get one done up right now I would go with Johansen.
 
I didn't know where else to post this, so figured I'd try here among the collectors :D

Buddy of mine's wife got him his first jersey for his birthday... ends up that she got him a 10th anniversary Steve Mason #1 jersey (official jersey with fight straps inside and the 10th anniversary patch on the chest). The jersey is a size 54.

The funny part about this... he was never really a fan of Steve Mason and would rather have a plain jersey, so he's looking to sell it.


I have some pictures of the jersey, PM with any interest/offers.

Interesting. I have a personalized jersey and thought it might be difficult to do that. Any tips on how to do it without making a mess of it (besides not doing it myself!)?

Generally speaking, replicas are a lot more iffy because the materials are different. The sleeve material on the newer-style Reebok tend to hold adhesive really well, making release of stripped numbers a major issue. The back numbers can be a problem too, although normally to a lesser extent.

Nameplates are usually pretty easy, simply because a new one can generally cover any outline or residue from an old one completely.
 
Not worth stripping this one. Sorry man, she needs to try to get her money back. This is what they mean when they say 'If something is too good to be true....' I'm sure it was a good deal, but it's just nasty.

Thanks for the feedback on the jersey everyone... fortunately, I was able to help him this weekend get in contact with the seller and get it returned. Thankfully, because for what his wife paid, it really was not a good deal or cheap.

I could take him to the Blueline and get a blank jersey for about the same price. Yikes.



Side topic: where would I post some CBJ gear/stuff I'm looking to sell? I have an old (original CBJ jersey, but ProPlayer brand) jersey that has a bunch of autographs on it and a Bobrovsky autographed mini-helmet from his Vezina winning season last year, and a couple older jerseys that I am looking to move... wife is making me shrink my collection down.
