Roslovic looked like the only guy who was truly at game speed last night (though Ehlers was right there). Still have doubts about what he does with the puck in the offensive zone - he doesn't really seem to have the best vision or decision making. I did feel like the top line started shaking the rust off in the second period into the third.

The Jets looked pretty slow to me last night, slow to pucks, slow to make decisions. The Canucks were really forcing the play all over the ice which is why we had so many turnovers.

I dont think it's a coincidence, we had one of the most relaxed training camps in the league. We were only doing drills until the beginning of this week.

Great to see the Jets again, thought our fans could have been louder though. I want Roslovic to be the 2nd line center he was drafted to be and he played well last night but with only one game in 4 months i'm not ready to say Eakin sucks and Roslovic should be the 2nd line center.

my feelings exactly

Rewarching the game and ita amazing how many simple passes we missed last night. Good old rust.
I wonder how good the ice was also, after 2 games played already. Burke did mention with no fans in the stands the humidity is easier to control or something like that.

He also said they were able to manage multiple games a day when they hosted the Olympics in 2010, so take what he says with a grain of salt.

Did anyone find it funny when the puck went out over the glass it just kind of rolled down the tarp? I had a laugh since there was nobody to grab the puck for a while.

Teams that spent their time scrimmaging haven't looked any better. Most teams treated the game as the exhibition game it was. And since when is doing drills relaxing? Most players no doubt would prefer scrimmaging over straight drills.

Only 3 to 4 scrimmages and I think moat were only 20 minutes long. I hope Mauroce knows what he is doing as we can't afford to be behind the 8ball early in a best of 5.

It was an up tempo camp from ehat I have heard. Scrimmages helps with the cohesion and game flow aspect, two things that you could tell we were a bit behind on yesterday. I'm not too concerned, I expecr a number of players to ramp it up come Saturday.

The reported rational was that players don't go full out in full length scrimmages as they don't want to risk injuring themselves or teammates which can lead to bad habits going into such important games.

I get his reasoning. He is going a bit off kilter in comparison to the other teams so like I said it will be interesting to see how it works. I think his method will pay dividends over longer period as I think its more indicative of laying the systems foundations that you can build towards. On the flip side im not sure if it revs the team up enough to start a short series.

I think of the Jets get out of the first two games with a split they will be in good shape.

It worked for Helly who publicly went on record that he preferred drills over scrimmages so he could get consistent high quality work to get ready in such a short time span.

Typical Winnipeg Jets Hockey.

1.Play terrible in all phases of the game and Rely completely on goal-tending.
2.for no reason whatsoever someone snipes a goal out of nowhere
3. Victory!

I used to worry about the flow of the game and the shots and stats and all that crap.but after a decade of Jets 2.0....Now I just look at the score...and ask myself if our guys have gotten their nightly cookie... Jets down 3-1 in the third...Did KC or #55 score yet? How about #27 or #29? not yet...just wait a bit they will...Jets win!

20,000 fans x 3 farts per fan per game and 6-7 burps per game. Thats a lot of foul air they are avoiding.
