you probably all saw this already... but just in case

That's Boo-B00-brilliant!

Even MacEwan seemed impressed. And didn't spend the rest of the game yapping about it. I do miss the Beyakisms that would ordinarily follow such a hit -- though not the endless wittering of SawedOff about "the code" or whatevs that would undoubtedly come in its wake.

He also said they were able to manage multiple games a day when they hosted the Olympics in 2010, so take what he says with a grain of salt.
Yep, that’s the part that had me scratching my head. Huh!?!? I know Vancouver was originally supposed to be one of the hub cities so maybe he forgot that Vancouver dropped out late in the process, and thought Edmonton = Vancouver.

Typical Winnipeg Jets Hockey.

1.Play terrible in all phases of the game and Rely completely on goal-tending.
2.for no reason whatsoever someone snipes a goal out of nowhere
3. Victory!

I used to worry about the flow of the game and the shots and stats and all that crap.but after a decade of Jets 2.0....Now I just look at the score...and ask myself if our guys have gotten their nightly cookie... Jets down 3-1 in the third...Did KC or #55 score yet? How about #27 or #29? not yet...just wait a bit they will...Jets win!
For many, MANY years I used to bemoan the Winnipeg Jets (1.0 and 2.0). They would play a great game but get out goalied or the other teams elite players would cash in on their chances and we would lose games I thought we should win.

God it's great to have elite talent in goal and forwards who can seemingly play 5 shifts and get 3 points. The shoe is on the other foot and I love it.

Of course, I'd love to go back to the 17-18 Jets who had the talent, the goaltending and also dominated play and beat the crap out of their opponent. Now THAT was fun!

Yeah, it was exactly like that through the Pavelec years.....

Seriously though... it's nice to not speak in hypothetical only terms finally. The NHL should consider the style of laugh track that Real Time with Bill Maher has used during his shows from home. When a goal is scored in a game just edit in random old crowd reactions. Poolman scores and voila...

100%

I know some people might be getting use to it but having a, if not “the”, top goalie in the NHL never gets old for me. This was not an easy season to be a Jets goalie based on quantity and quality of shots and all Helle did was mic drop a Vezina level season despite it all.

He may be a third liner as you say, but playing him on a "shutdown" line with Lowry and Copp doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Make a third, higher skill line with Perreault and have your shutdown line with Lowry, Copp, and someone else.
He's got alot of skill but I don't personally think he's anything more the a 45 point guy. This second line c has been somthing we have been chasing for years. To me Wheeler is our best option for second line C atm. Id be in for acquiring someone good for that role.

Considerting the bizarre circumstance I thought Sportsnet did a pretty good job with game ambient sound enhancement. They put some sound in there, mixed down the on ice sound a bit - it sounded like a typical Canadian rink... dead quiet :P

More than happy to see that again and again. My highlight of the game. Great hit.
This is the one dynamic we are missing right now. If Beaulieu and Kulikov can do this occasionally (with purpose, and not sacrificing positioning) it does put a little doubt and worry into the minds of forwards which can be the edge our defense needs .
