In 1969, recording under the name A. J. Thicke, here is actor Alan Thicke with his debut recording. He would record a few more singles and albums throughout his life, as well as being a prolific songwriter. May he rest in peace.

I think he wrote "The Facts of Life" and (?) "Different Strokes" too.

1] Remember "Thicke of the Night"?

2] Leo Dicaprio (sp) on the sitcom.

Derek Sanderson thought he had a relapse when he woke up and turned the TV on and Ask The Manager was on....He was in Winnipeg.

TV38 to this day is seen on most Canadian cable outlets

Ha! Bless you, Fens.

Remember the time that guy called in after a Sox game, and opined that Lou Gorman must be a "very good dancer"? (Not strictly ATM, but hey.) Or, Sean reading a viewer letter referring to "the dopey bald guy"? Great good fun.

It wasn't on for very long but I remember a sports round table hosted by Upton Bell, he had Boston tv sports & print reporters on and they would discuss the local teams. I really enjoyed it.

Sports Beat, I believe (replete with dinky opening theme music). I enjoyed its modest charms, too.

If HF had existed in 1971 - How do you think the board would have reacted to losing a Bruins telecast to a moon launch ( BTW Bobby scored his 100th goal that day - lost forever )
