Marty being a total loser by refusing to scratch the garbage vets and instead scratching the kids that are making a difference out there. This loss looks good on him, hope he loses sleep. … Just a brutal coaching move once again by 'Rudy'

I don't know what everyone expected, it's basically the same team as last year. Our struggles will get worse as the league adapts to use and the games get more important. Keep your eyes on where we are going not where we are at.
tonight sucked, but it is definitely not the same as last year. Suzuki, Caufield, Dach, Guhle, Xhekaj and Slaf show a ton of promise and the team does play good, exciting hockey sometimes. last season was just pure misery

These are the types of deflating games we need to pick top 5. This is the first time we may actually be bad in a year that isn't the worst draft in decades. Somehow we picked top three in the three worst drafts since 1999.

I don't remember when it started exactly, but seeing teams (us especially) play an umbrella on a 5-on-3 is infuriating.

Like, you're just gonna set up the exact same way around the perimeter you would for a normal PP and not punish the other team at all for having one less skater? For real?

the best is that sneaky drop pass on the PP that is so wickedly effective, we go 0-7 without any issues. Seriously, NOBODY is expecting that drop pass at the redline, no pre-game scouting will ever spot that master chess move. We got real brains behind the PP

Do we have Florida and the Flames pick this year or just ours and Florida?

Even worse, they didn't even record a shot during that 5 on 3 -- I had not realized it until I heard it on RDS a few minutes ago.

Marty keeps throwing Harris and Fatso out there, like that's going to do the trick when you have Gallagher and Anderson trying to cycle the puck lol

It's just hitting me : this what teams without Carey Price have to go through... Juggling with bad goalies and hoping that a Montenbeault can become a starter by some magic trick.

We are a ONE line team fellas.

And when that one line doesn't produce.... Nobody else can score. Gallagher used to provide some offense, but he's a shell of what he used to be AND has zero puck luck when he does get a shot off (see post/crossbar this evening).

The big thing that concerns me is that there doesn't seem to be anyone that steps up (after the first line) and drags this team into the fight. It used to be Gallagher's job but he's clearly done/frustrated and has abdicated it to anyone who wants it... Anderson doesn't seem to be as involved as he used to be. MSL needs to figure out a way to light a fire under the big fella and keep it burning. Other than Guhle, our defense looked awful again tonight, and Jake Allen... well he was there and I suppose that counts for something.

Overall a tough game, but nothing we shouldn't have expected. I really don't want to see Slaf playing on the fourth line anymore though, that's the one decision that MSL constantly makes that I really don't agree with.... I know he's trying to teach him to play without the puck, but you don't put a thoroughbred with the plow horses.

Where are the posters who just a week or two ago said we'd make the playoffs for sure?

This team has ways to go. Bedard, here we come!

I’m right here, this game doesn’t change the fact, this seasons Habs team is not a bottom-5 roster. I will stick to my preseason prediction, they will end up picking in the 11-17 range.

They may not be picking top 5 but they also won’t pick between 11 and 17.

I didn't watch any of this game and it looks like I didn't miss much against Swedish Jesus and the Sharks tonight. As the schedule and games get tougher the drive for top 5 should start to take form here soon I suspect.
