Montador family lawsuit ongoing to next steps. Even at the time in 2012 I thought it was crazy how quick and often it seemed he was returning from concussions. He was the best D on the powerplay that they just needed, which seems so odd but was true of that year.

I know Hagel is a touchy subject around here, but saw this on the Lightning board.

You know those are hard-earned takeaways too. Very impressive and extremely fun to watch. Exceeding my expectations. Perfect complimentary first line player.

Touchy? He was pretty much universally loved and Tampa paid through the nose for him. Wish him nothing but the best.

hagel is guy that I would like the hawks to bring back in 3 years. Im not sure tampa can keep him. he is going to need a massive raise. to the tune of $5 X 5 at least

If he is hitting 70+ points while providing sandpaper and an insane work ethic, this guy will get like $6.5M-$7M and who knows in 3 years if the cap rises...

I agree- if He keeps up this pace- he is worth at least that. It was a WIN/WIN trade. Tampa can win now-- hawks can't... Love the Player Hagel- but he would be wasted and ONLY land Hawks 4-8 more wins if he played on this roster. I have to "toot my own horn"-- on another blog-- I was the first person to suggest Hawks Greatest asset in Trade would be Hagel. Love the kid! Who ever gave up on him in the Sabres system-- should have been fired by now-- Really horrible deal from Buffalo perspective.

If Hagel puts up back to back seventy point seasons he'll be worth like eight million plus on the open market. I wouldn't pay that, but I also don't think he keeps scoring like this away from Tampa's top six.
