Debrincat started with 9 goals in 7 games but has hit a wall since with just 3 in the next 13 games.

True, but you'd like to see some more consistently (well not really because he plays for Detroit now)
Scored 41 one year here then followed that up with just 18 goals in 70 games.
Then with Kane looked like someone who could hit 50 in a season but then a disappointing year in Ottawa playing with a much more talented team too.

Assuming you mean Kirby Dach, he unfortunately suffered a season-ending injury like two games into the season - he tore his MCL and ACL.

Boqvist turning out to be the worst of the 4 dmen in that range really sucks. Personally I just knew he didnt have it defensively the moment I saw him panic and rim a puck to nobody whenever he was under pressure.
Even from draft day I still think we should've drafted the two way stud in Mintyukov (sort of like how we passed on Dobson) but I do think KK has the tools to be better defensively than Boqvist and plays more of a conventional and translatable style of offense
