There’s a difference between being soft and not being strong enough to compete physically at the nhl level. Mitchell is pretty clearly the latter imo
Definitely feels like he hit his weight/strength ceiling.

In the last 3 years, I don't think he developed much physically.

He's listed at 5'11 and 192lbs. Lots of guys that size and smaller, and weighing less, have successful NHL careers, and are plenty strong to play in the NHL. Bedard will likely play his entire career at like 5'11 and 195lbs. There's no reason, at his size, he should be "too weak" to compete at the NHL level.

He's soft, and just not good.

Weight doesn’t necessarily equal strength. I’m definitely arguing over semantics here but I never saw a lack of willingness to engage physically from Mitchell. He definitely got pushed around/bullied at the nhl level but to me that doesn’t necessarily make him soft. Doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things but I feel like Mitchell gets shit on unnecessarily a lot here because of Musto. He’s a talented kid that won’t make it for a multitude of reasons and it is what it is. Everyone needs to just let it go

Here we go…

Jake McCabe has gotten injured
He’s played 7 games so far this season, he needs to play at least 21 games or the conditional 2025 pick goes from being a 5th rounder to a 3rd…

Totally looks like ‘another’ cap circumvention move to me…just saying
