Oh god no. Sure the rivalry isn't what it once was, but that would hurt more than seeing Chelios in that jersey. Kane can sign anywhere... ANYWHERE and I wouldn't care but Detroit and St. Louis.

Would be a great reason for me to trek to Detroit to see a Wings vs Hawks game. My half season Hawks ticket package this year didn’t include the Wings game, and since my practice stopped getting Wings season tickets last season, I didn’t see their game(s) there like I’ve done for almost 25 years.:(

One home and away game per year won’t be enough as these two teams start heating up again. Can only hope for a Cup finals matchup.

It seems like that Kane/Wings tweet got deleted from the trade forum at least once or twice, is Dietz not a credible source or something? Genuinely curious

He’s made a boatload of money. He should sign a 1 x 1M contract with a contending team.
For sure. Rent a place out in Edmonton, Denver, or Pittsburgh for a year and go play with some superstars. That’d be so cool to watch him win Cup as a wiley vet

It wouldn’t bother me much at all to see him in a Wing’s jersey
Yeah, the Wings were irrelevant almost throughout my youth and well into my adulthood. Just because there was a 10 year overlap of conflict doesn’t erase the other 40 years of pathetic Wings teams. And most of the great recent Wings teams the Hawks were terrible.

Now the Blues, on the other hand….NEVER!

Kane and Debrincat were already tried on a mid roster. They were fun, but the team went nowhere. That’s exactly what would happen with Detroit. It’s just a collection of mid talent with Seider who is really good.

How can you not be romantic(and heartbroken) about hockey?
The rivalry ended in 2013 when we beat them in round 2 and they moved to the eastern conference the next year. Couldn’t have been a more fitting ending if I’m being honest.

They were up 3-1 thinking they were going to spoil our historic season, we ended up coming back and won the Cup that year to send them packing out of division/conference for good

My hate lives on. And as the stats guy of this board(as far as I remember) you should know I'm quoting moneyball

Not even the most BS no goal call could stop them.

Don’t know where to put this but John Scott was signed by NBC Sports to do in studio for the Blackhawks.
