Would anyone here want Ville Pokka ( 6 foot 0 / 201 lbs ) back and give him another go?

Since his embark from NA hockey, he has grown to one of the most
respected two-way defensemen in the entire KHL, plays tons of minutes,
is really good in his own end, great passer, pk specialist, really strong
with and without the puck.

KHL Gagarin Cup champion, as is Finnish Sm-Liiga champion,
has represented Finland at every international level
even the world cup and the olympics, 2 time world championships silver medalist.

At 27, he is still at his prime but...he wouldn't come back for free thou,
he is getting paid quite a lot in the KHL, althou...his current contract
ends after this season...
Has he finally learned to skate or lost some weight?

In an ideal world, sure, you trade him after his 60pt season and get max value for him.

In the real world, the guy had a peak cap hit of 1.2 million on the Blackhawks. I challenge anybody to find a team willing to trade away a 60 point player making 1.2 million on the cap, regardless of how little they may think of him internally.

The risk the Blackhawks took on hoping he could repeat it was worth whatever package they would have got back, which wouldn't have been much since he only had one real season of NHL play under his belt. Nobody was giving up 1st rounders for a maybe.

This game is much more than numbers .... for the thousandth time.

The game is literally scoring more goals than the other team.
Some teams are so well balanced that they can beat most other teams in any way the ops choose to play, including playing pond hockey. Hawks of 2010 was one of those teams; present-day Lightning and Avs examples of today's version.... but they don't often play that way and for good reason. Defense wins Stanley Cups. Great offensive numbers in the RS don't.

Hawks got Wyatt Kaiser for Gus...Pretty good result even though they maybe lost a round of value, doubt he was ever worth a 1st...

Watch Boqvist become a better player than Jones and we will be the laughing joke of the league, even then people here will find excuses for Stan lol

Because he scored a goal while being left all alone 8ft from the blue paint? I mean, if we're admitting massive defeat at least wait until Boqy does a bit more than that.

It’s funny because if you go read the CBJ boards, they were saying during camp Boqvist looked weak and poor defensively and could use a season in the AHL.

But he scored a goal in preseason so that means everything.
