Does he have a home up there?

I didn't see Sharp as coaching type to be honest

He was good fit broadcasting

I wonder if him being on the 2010 team and the sex abuse scandal going on made it “inappropriate” to have him on TV so now he’s going to go coach some college team in Michigan and be out of the national limelight

Hes going to advise at Vermont. Seems like a step in a different direction. I have no doubt he will succeed if he goes front office or coaching route.

Joker was loved until the day he got traded, all the stan fans flip flopped immediately just like Boqvist, there were no concerns about his injuries till the day he got traded, it’s not like Stan doesn’t love injured guys anyway lol. This team would have stacked up on these young guy on D but stan keeps trading all our first round picks, what a clueless chump.

Yeah from a sure fire top 4 D to a bum once the trade went through. And they all still have high hopes for Nylander to put it together.

Who did this with Boqvist? I personally will miss him.

I’m not really a fan of Nylanders but the Hawks have 6 defenseman on the team that play a head of Joker in their current logical roles.

LOL

Joker would be our 4th best defender on this team

And he would certainly play ahead of the joke that is Ian Mitchell let alone the corpse of CDH on right side

Joker would have been a perfect partner for Kalynuk honestly but our GM gave him away for an entitled bust who shouldn't be occupying an NHL spot... His play on ice certainly didn't warrant him playing in NHL

At end of day Joker was best young RD we had despite claims of people here who bashed him simply for fact they wanted to defend Bowman's god awful trade

Mitchell is joke and Boqvist the organization also moved to give away with no regard for his longterm development in a trade that was so heavily in Jackets favor that unless Jones becomes a Norris caliber #1 again its hard to see as a win for this franchise

You referenced Mitchell twice. Right now I don’t think he is an NHL player. Maybe 10th on the depth chart.
Unless you are a real top pair type most 2nd pairings have a guy better at D and a guy who is more offensive.
joker would be an anchor for Kalynuk. Not good enough to bring offense but not strong enough on D to let his partner pinch.

in fact Kalynuk is what you hoped Jokiharu developed into. … He didn’t.

Pretty surprising no teams were willing to give him a look this year

Its possible he was only being offered 1 yr deals so he decided to take a multi-year deal in Europe

Moving around from city to city becomes tiring for player

From Chicago to Pittsburgh to Buffalo to Edmonton in less then 2 year span is alot of movement

Meh, he wasn’t anywhere near good enough for the top 6 and in the bottom 6 is nothing more than a small soft winger.

Good for him to come over here and make a few million bucks.

Would anyone here want Ville Pokka ( 6 foot 0 / 201 lbs ) back and give him another go?

Since his embark from NA hockey, he has grown to one of the most
respected two-way defensemen in the entire KHL, plays tons of minutes,
is really good in his own end, great passer, pk specialist, really strong
with and without the puck.

KHL Gagarin Cup champion, as is Finnish Sm-Liiga champion,
has represented Finland at every international level
even the world cup and the olympics, 2 time world championships silver medalist.

At 27, he is still at his prime but...he wouldn't come back for free thou,
he is getting paid quite a lot in the KHL, althou...his current contract
ends after this season...

Sure he would be instant upgrade over Mitchell but Hawks management clearly didn't think anything of him after trade since they never even gave him a look at NHL so its never going to happen
