He's only scored when in top 6, like his hot streak with Strome and Cat or in AZ besides Domi or Hanzal? (I think) but good luck to them, anything that helps the Oilers can help get them to the CF and get that conditional 2nd for Keith

WSH can't afford Kempny any more cause of some poor decisions. Blackhawks should try and rectify a bad mistake and pick him up off waives. You won't find much better deals than 2.5mil cap hit for a top 4 dman.

not against that idea however he has had 3 injuries on the same leg over the past few seasons, he has struggled to find his game since returning

Washington is waiving him because he's not ready for NHL play after numerous leg injuries, resulting in him not playing for over a year. They're hoping he clears so he can go to the A and get his game back.

He in no way helps the Hawks short-term.
